Forums - Gaming - Ex Rare Members Want To Create Spiritual Successor To Banjo-Tooie

A number of ex Rare developers have joined forces in the hope that they will get enough support to develop what they say will be the spiritual successor to Banjo-Tooie. They’ve already got Grant Kirkhope and Stephen Hurst on board, so it will be interesting to see how this pans out. To register your support all you need to do is follow their Twitter account.

Good luck!

Nintendo, "save" them too! Or do DK 64 2, your choice.

Very interesting indeed.

I remember earlier this year when a guy, after more than a year of work, finished a spiritual successor to Super Mario 64. The game was amazing, despite the fact that he was an amateur!

So yeah, no need to push graphics or anything, but I guess it would be a bonus. I wonder though how they would be able to do this without Microsoft suing their asses?

He said on his Twitter: "a game that shares that same kind of humour, silly characters, fun game play, great tunes and all that stuff that we enjoy making."

This means it will be a different game, as long as they don't use any Banjo-Kazooie characters, they should be fine.

Well, it can be about a Hippo named Ukelele who has a bad mouthed Ostrich named Bazooie inside his camelback and fights the evil Sorceress Matilda, while searching for pieces of paintings called Panties.

Wait.

Sounds good to me since making something completely new also assures that they won't take a shit on Banjo-Kazooie's legacy.

following to show support. I rather enjoyed Banjo Kazooie as well as its sequel and pretty much all of the Rare platformers of that time. I wonder what platforms they will target.

i would love it, but only if its released on a Nintendo console, im just buying the WiiU next gen

Oh, it will. I bet the majority of Banjo's widows are Nintendo fans.

All I had to do was read the title and I would throw over $100 at them if they had a kickstarter going to make it.
