Cut the price already!
Yay!!!
lol, I just ran google translate on their Halo 4 listing:
"...initiating a new story again threatened by a notorious Master Chief threatening our whole universe."
xD
OT: While I don't really see what would be so strange about only cutting the price in Japan, I also expect this to just be a typo.
Edit: Huh, guess it wasn't a typo after all.
Well apparently it's not a typo unless MS themselves also did it. It's listed right there on the Xbox website, 250GB 360 Value Pack (w/Skyrim DL code and Forza 4) slated for an October 4th release at 19,800 yen. (10,000 yen less than the previous 29,800 yen pricepoint for the 250GB 360.)

edit: Looks like it is happening as it is being reported in the JP news as well.

I took a screenshot:

starcraft: "I and every PS3 fanboy alive are waiting for Versus more than FFXIII.
Me since the games were revealed, the fanboys since E3."

Skeeuk: "playstation 3 is the ultimate in gaming acceleration"

Oh man, that would be great if that did end up as a worldwide thing.
Not to mention Skyrim already did impressive numbers across all platforms, but including it into a main bundle like this would spike that even further.
It would be a good idea and guarantee that they woul outsell Sony significantly during the holidays
But I dont think its gonna happen
Honestly, even if they did I doubt it would have a significant impact. Every holiday retailers have specials on the 360 which roughly reduces it's price temporarily by $100. If they had a price drop the deals wouldn't be as substantial and the result would be the same. I believe we would see the effects more after the holidays die down and ps3 might not gain its usual ground.
How do you breathe again?
| pezus said: I don't get the point of dropping the price in Japan only. Surely that would have next to no noticeable effect |
Might as well cut the price everywhere but Japan. Japanese gamers don't like Microsoft. Plus, the yen is pretty damn high against the dollar still.
