what is NiGHTS? Whats the concept of it?

I dunno...looks nice and colorful, but I can barely tell what's going on in the screens...it's so random.  I don't know how the game plays though, I've never seen the first game.

My question exactly.  It looks pretty, but what IS it?

I couldn't figure out what it was on Saturn either, and I actually played it on Saturn (though it was a kiosk set up at Blockbuster).

Presume its some sort of platformer, with flying aspects? Or is it more "on-rails", with longer levels like Sonic? 

Explaining Nights is uhh, very difficult. Nights is such a unique game, and I cannot name a single other game that has attempted to mirror it. So theres nothing I can point out to you as an example of what to expect. Furthermore the game is so wierd and out there, that watching videos of the first one will just confuse the holy hell out of you and leave you like o_O.... Sadly its the type of game you have to play, even if its just to hear the awesome soundtrack of the game. Lets hope it turns out alright. Sega is hit and miss with their games. Sonic for 360 and PS? Crap, VF for PS3? Gooooood! So lets just hope they get this one right. Would be nice.

nice sarcasm. Seriously the game doesn't look that great. However i never judge games on still images. I only judge them on videos that way i can see full flowing scenes which make it better to judge. SO i'll wiat for a video beofre i make up my mind.

Maybe I just don't appreciate art in games or something but that picture looks like sh*t.  Maybe the game might play really well and look much better in motion but just looking at that picture doesn't bring beautiful to mind.
