Forums - Sony - Ex-PlayStation Spokesman: ‘You Have To Question The Priorities Of The Company As A Whole’

he should stop being butthurt and find another job.

Not likely now since he's in PR and created a PR nightmare...I guess he could hope to win another really bad reality TV show in hopes of getting paid minimum wage again.  Ah, to live the dream.

SCE has a PR department???!!! What do they do?!?!

This is actually good. The marketing department of SCEA was terrible, perhaps they are going to revamp that and finally support their games and systems as they should be.

This can't be good for the future of his career.

You think? Because every knowledgeble marketeer/advertiser/PR knows that Sony's marketing stinks bad at the moment. You dont need to be inside the company to tell.

From my point of view as a professional, this guy shows he knows some stuff when he is saying these things. Its not just a rant, he is beeing logical and he is right. Of course, he also shows he is a risky hiring if i ever want to lay him off.

Who needs inhouse PR when you can buy it in? They might be better off hiring a PR firm rather than running their own PR shop. PR isn't Sony's core business so there's no point in having anything but a skeleton PR unit which mostly farms out and prioritises PR work.

And what's with criticising Vita for having Ad Hoc MP simply because it's sold very little? It doesn't make ad hoc a bad feature. No wonder the guy lost his job, he can't even do good negative PR.

Do you know what ad hoc mp is? do you know how useful it is if there is one person in each town who has a psv with adhoc play only games? His point is clear enough, if people with a product are few and far between there isn't much point in only shipping games with multiplayer which needs to be in close proximity to another vita.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

What games have shipped with adhoc-only multi-player, out of interest?  Most of the western releases don't even seem to have it, and the ones that do (say, WipEout 2048) seem to have it as a demonstration of the features, and feature an online multi-player mode as well.

If there's Japanese releases that focus on ad-hoc only that I don't know about, then that's fair enough :P
