What's going on with all the great business moves from Nintendo all of a sudden? XP
I worked with Unity once, it's pretty easy to use. This is great news for indie devs interested in making a WiiU game.

I think you will see a lot of iPhone > Wii U gamepad ports.. There are a lot of fun Unity powered games on iOS

Unity games tend not to "wow". Not because the technology behind Unity is sub-par, but because Unity games tend to only have a handful of designers behind them rather than hundreds.

Is that the same engine that they used in the development of Toy Story?
Ahem.., this seems like a very smart move. Having a broad range of indie developers working on small Wii U projects should definitely result in many unique uses of the Wii U gamepad. Looking forward to try them out!
Offf topic: Can anyone explain me all those VicViper - Viper users?!
Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever
Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

I think this is a great move by Nintendo. Now, if you add to this that rumor of great incentives to develop for eshop and things beging to take shape.
Let`s hope that Nintendo is persuasive enough to show these developers that they can make money on eshop!

Keep in mind that this is different than simply having the game engine ported to your console. This is actually integrated into the Wii U dev kit.

Well, they allowed for a decent increase in size of the Ware type games so that should quell some of the previous complaints by some developers. Now, there isn't really too much else standing in the way for them to put their game on Nintendo's eshop.

streamlined and easy to work with
