i dont like the term "hardcore" either, it makes it sound like porn to me, but almost everybody uses it so to make life easier i use it as well. anyways im not saying true nintendo fands arent "hardcore" but im saying most "hardcore" gamers now are with ps3, 360 or PC and dont try deny this. its why every major publisher has been ignoring the wii with there biggest tittles and it proved to be not a problem, from games like red dead and gta to CoD and battlefield to mass effect and skyrim and much more, that demograph of gamers (who have been gamers most of there lifes and play games the most) are mostly on the PS360 and pc, its not me saying this but the entire indusrty with the games they release. beyonta 2 only went exclusive because if nintendo didnt fund the game it wouldnt have been created but even though the developer originally tried to make the sequal on the ps3/xbox 360

I understand what you mean with the way the system was marketed, but there were games there amongst the shovel-ware, obviously didn't have the graphics/vastness and features of games on the ps3/360 and pc, but there were games there for core gamers

I'm surprised u think it's that expensive; as the last gen HD systems are still selling ~$300 with older technology and features.  Heck, even the Vita is selling around the same price as the base model Wii U!!!

I'm a die hard Sony fan and I don't like Nintendo at all. Now, after seeing what the Wii U has to offer, I think that everybody should sell their consoles and buy the Wii U. It is the greatest thing I have ever seen. I have never owned a Nintendo console but I think that now is the time for everyone to jump in.

i dont know about hardcore or softcore or cassual thing because i really dont care about. im gonna spend my money on something thats really worth for my time. but look at WiiU launching title, i think im gonna wait for a few months. dont get me wrong, i really big nintendo fan (not a fanboy).
