Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Pokémon Mystery Dungeoun Announced - November 23rd - Random Dungeons from your toilet paper

Definatly day one for me. I loved the rescue team and explorers entries and I don't see it changing with this one.

The game looks amazing aswell, but only four starters? Come on, we had way more before.

This is from gaf and serebii

"You transform into a Pokemon at the start of the game.

Partners are Pikachu, Axew, Tepig, Snivy, Oshawott."

Maybe there's more, but oh well, at least they're all new, except Pikachu. I see some Umbreon and Espeon there... maybe eevee? Zorua too.

And since they evolve... well, not that bad.

I tried one of the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games. Someone please explain the appeal to me.

Watch this episode from 3:45 foward. I always thought this one to be the funnest episode of the whole series. It's the only one they did that, even today, iirc. I see mystery dungeon games like this episode.

Pokemon Episode 17

Some genuinely funny moments, but internet is terrible for screens of this game

Those pokemon models are trully amazing. If they can do these kind of models for a spin-off series, it makes me wonder how much better they can be for the main games.

Probably they'll be close to the Pokedex 3D models .

YES! Oh man, this and Monster hunter 3D should give my 3DS some intense loving. I'm all set until the next mainline pokemon games are out.

I've got to say that the 3D models look very nice. If we are going to get anything like this in the main games, I'll be one happy pokemaniac.

Some pics

And the most important one:

Lol, yes, this is an official picture. Game is shit confirmed!

(actually apparently the game transforms round objects into random levels)

Turn Fried Eggs Into Dungeons In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon 3DS

By Laura . September 21, 2012 . 3:05pm

The latest in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series will be released in the winter of 2012 on the Nintendo 3DS. As you’ve probably heard, the game, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Magna Gate and the Infinite Labyrinth, will be completely rendered in 3D. It looks like the models that are being used for the Pokédex 3D will be used in this game as well. You can watch a trailer here.

Many aspects of the game will be kept the same as those in previous installments to the series. The game will stay true to its rogue-like genre in terms of gameplay. It will also start with the same premise—that you, the player, were somehow transformed into a Pokémon and suddenly wake up in a world full of Pokémon.

The Pokémon you can play as are Pikachu, Axew, Snivy, Oshawott, and Tepig. Thus far, it’s assumed that your primary partner Pokémon will be one of those types as well.

Throughout the course of the game, you’ll still accept quests and explore dungeons.  However, this time, there is a new way to access dungeons, called the Magna Gates. These gates are activated using the 3DS camera. Just point the camera at any remotely round object, and this object will serve as the “entrance” to a new dungeon. The dungeons are randomly generated and will be different every time you enter.

Possible entrances to dungeons.

You will still be able to befriend Pokémon in the dungeons, and the dungeons will still be filled with items, puzzles, and traps.  The story in Infinite Labyrinth is said to be even more dramatic than the previous ones in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, which already have comparatively complex and touching stories compared to the rest of the franchise.

As previously reported, Pokémon from Black/White 2 will be included in this game. By my speculation, the fact that it’s the sequel that is specifically mentioned probably means that certain legendaries will be making appearances in the game that weren’t present in the original Black/White.
