pointer control is kind of fun in a single player fps that is slow paced and set to easy difficulty mode. otherwise pointer controls are just too inaccurate, clumsy, and tiring to be dealt with. i'll stick to dual analog for anything online or fast paced.

Do you make these things up ?

Why does he have to make things up, he simply finds the IR pointing for online type modes to not be accurate, its his opinion why so upset. Hes not really wrong either, i had a big problem with that in GE(goddamn stop sign thing) i was using CC for the longest until i adjusted the controls and boy did it need adjusting.

I can play with dual analogue when the game is really awesome otherwise, like with Bioshock. But I'd be lying if I said I wasn't craving pointer controls all the way through that game, superb as it was.

Oh, you took the words right out of my mouth.  Obviously I'd settle for dual analogue for a game that amazing, but the chance to play Infinite with exquisite pointer controls?  No choice at all for me.

You do have a chance, its called PS3 and Move at least thats how ill be playing it.

Oh I know; I'll be playing it that way too.

They're also including the original Bioshock on the blu-ray but unfortunately it won't be re-worked to support Move as far as I've heard.

Hardly interested in FPS at all. Unless it's name is Metroid Prime, Half-Life, or Borderlands... all of which I think barely fit in with the genre.

The Wii U will support IR anyway, though. Won't it?

Hmmm so we meet again *old kung fu master voice*

If you played with the default control setup of course you are going to run into problems with pointer controls, that's why competent developers allows you to customize it.

And if you have been gaming for more than at least 5 years the first thing any gamer does is check the options for control schemes or setups, how long have we been changing default control setup since what snes era. So if you had a problem with the controls its your fault if you could not check the options menu not the contoller.

Thats the equivalent of me being upset with capcom for placing the default buttons for street fighter where they are then saying the game is broken.

And thats why I asked is he making this up?  .

P.s. I have seen women in the office adjust mouse speed while playing zuma when they don't like the controls.

I imagine at least CoD Wii U will use the pointer. Hopefully.

i dont think so, i mean its not like there using the move, as long as there is a normal controller i dont think activision would use a pointer to play the game

The pointer controls are obviously far better than dual analog and I hope that Wii U shooter support this.

Guess what, Activision already has the control assets for IR pointer from the Wii CoD games, they just have to copy and paste, which is pretty much their field of expertize.

They are not supporting move, because they don't like to move it, move it. That's all.

I really hate Dual Analoge. Slow and imprecise crap, so if a game that require aiming doesn't support IR-aiming with Wiimote then i won't buy it

haha well would it be that hard to port the assest from the wii remote to the move? i dont think so, but welcome to the world of activision and CoD, it would be good if they added the IR pointer, but i dont think they will, yes activision is just that cheap!

I couldn't agree more with the op.
