Considering how Nintendo created pie, I would say Sony definitely copied.

Doesn't make = assemble? Sony to assemble...raspberry pi, there. Sony is gathering the parts, MAKING the board, AND assembling, for the none profit Raspberry pi foundation, a UK registered charity.

Try the Raspbian distro  (www.memetic.org/raspbian-benchmarking-armel-vs-armhf/), supposed to speed up some programs 40%. There still working on using the gpu for desktop acceleration. For me it's an educational toy to learn linux.
