Who should I face first, Koga or Sabrina?

Koga 19 67.86%

Sabrina 2 7.14%

Blaine 3 10.71%

I Dunno 1 3.57%

Also, Mankey seems like a lucky catch considering Brock.

@Player2: OMBloodyG, lad. I can't believe you forgot about Erika, she's the grass-type gym leader!

I picked charmander as my starter, so that gym lasted less than 5 minutes.

Still no pidgeys or rattatas, Salnax is being lucky for now...

It's time for my journey in Viridian Forest. I sneak along in the grass, avoiding trainers when possible.

I run away from fights, wanting to preserve HP as much as possible. If I'm good, I only have to fight two or three trainers in here... ooh, a Potion!

*5 Minutes Later*

Holy crap, I'm a ninja! I only have to face a single trainer. But he has a level 10 Caterpie...

Wait a moment, what? Why would anybody have a level 10 Caterpie? You could have a Butterfree by then!

Anyhow, Turkish starts off with a Tackle, just like his enemy. The foe does more damage though. I land three attacks and switch out to Spurg. He is soon down to underv 50% health, so I switch to Mugen. He finally takes it down.

I surprisingly easily get to Pewter City. All in all, it was no Mt. Moon getting here.

Before I go to the gym, I train a bit in the field south of the city. Turkish learns Horn Attack and Spurg learns Low Kick! Time to go to the Gym.

I'll take care of the Gym's bitch first.

He sends out a Diglett, I send out Mugen. We trade blows until I switch to Turkish. Turkish wins with Horn Attack, but is weakened. I switch to Spurg to deal with his Sandshrew. Unfortuantely, his Low Kick misses twice. I switch back to Turkish and use a Potion. Make that two potions. I win, but it is expensive.

I go back to the Pknm Center before dealing with my real enemy: Brock.

Gym Battle 1: Brock

His first mon is a level 10 Geodude. Mine is a level 9 Spurg. Low Kick does >50% damage! Defeating Geodude causes Spurg to level up to 10! But his Onix is at level 12... It starts off with Bide. My Low Kick does only about 35% damage. This isn't good... I switch to Mugen, hoping his high HP can take the eventual blow.

Oh god...

I'm sorry Mugen...

...

Spurg comes back out. I try to Low Kick, but Onix uses Bind, followed by another Bide. Spurg lands a pair of Low Kicks and Onix is down.

I win...

Nooo! D:

Butterfree would have been useful haha

He will be missed... :'(

R.I.P. Mugen.....

Should've capped to lvl 11, then all would've survive the match...

I'm gonna tell ya this, before you even think of challanging Misty, make sure all of your party Pokemon are capped to lvl 24, atleast! Her Starmie is a beast!!!

I'm worried that if my team is too powerful too early, it will be hard to capture wild mons.

Having over-levelled Pokemon make nuzlocke runs really boring anyway
