I wanted to use my £10 off gift card with Game to buy it but the card wouldn't work x_x so I had to pay the full £30.

The deal is NOT only for UK members but the whole of Europe. I am in NZ and we are also being offered the deal. I will definitely take it up - I am currently on the 3 month subscription which is due to expire in November and I understand the additional year will stack up on top of your remaining months.

Funnily enough even with 25% off it's still cheaper in America without the discount than Australia. Either way I subscribed for a year, the price is too good to pass up. I personally like the discounts and beta access more than the free games. I find I often own most of what they offer since they're all mainstream titles.
