Forums - Nintendo - Wii U Zelda coming in 2014, will be biggest Zelda game ever! (Exclusive details from trusty source!)

If this is true the end product will be something to behold. The fact they've assembled the biggest team ever means they're not playing around. The part about the dungeons I'm not sure about. I mean the size h this guys describing seems like a little... much. If they keeps things interesting in each dungeon so I'm not bored before the end of the dungeon then great, but other wise do they need to be that big? I'm happy with their decision to keep the SS art style because it's my favorite style so far, and in HD it'll be gorgeous. Most innovative game ever umm... yeah I think that's a stretch. Don't get me wrong I'm sure it'll be innovative but "most innovative game ever" that will "redefine gaming" and "will be copied by others for years"? It'll be amazing if it is but I'm not getting my hopes that high.

I'll be glad if it ditched the controls of Skyward Sword. I couldn't stand them at all. Caused me to completely lose interest in the game.

I thought your mom ended up liking them!

We both ended up giving up.

If you have to work to get the controls to do what you want then it is shit. No ways around that, lol.

This is from a life long Zelda fan. (No, fan does not mean I accept whatever shit they hand me. My standards don't drop for bullshit loyalty lol)

Controlling the golden beetle is beyond frustrating.

Could'nt disagree more with you. Motion Control, despite it's flaws, made the combat interesting for me till the very end. After that, I played ocarina of time 3d, and like other Zelda games, I had to spam ''A'' over and over again to kill enemies, and it felt so boring. I can't understand why anyone would want to go back to pressing ''A!A!A!A!A!A!'' at every enemies.

I hope they keep the SS's motion control. Hopefully they will find a way to keep it while still incorperating the gamepad.

HD graphics, same visual style as Skyward Sword

Nintendo are said to be very pleased with the art direction and visual style of Skyward Sword, and are continuing this look. Of course, it’ll be in full HD with much improved quality compared to what we saw on the Wii.

If it looks anything like this...

 then...

I don't know why people tell me to get a life. I'm a gamer, I have lots of lives!

SS is the lowest selling console Zelda bar Majora. You may argue it's a good game, but you can't argue it's "the right" balance between hardcore and casual because that's a sales oriented statement and SS doens't hold up.

Skyward sword is obviously not gonna be the best selling Zelda. However it seems to be undertracked and it's not done selling just yet.

It will get a nice boost from Wii U release also. I can see it reaching wind waker level.

Yeah, if Nintendo is smart, they can do some kind of rerelease of SS. A bundle pack of a remasterd HD version with a wiimote+ or something like that.

In the wilderness we go alone with our new knowledge and strength.

Sadly, Nintendo appears eaither not to be that smart or doesn't have the resources to go updating or repackaging older games - but i wish they did.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

To be honest, I think SS and WW will hold up better than TP (and to an extent OoT) and have a more lasting appeal - and it's because of the art style! Going for a realistic look always involves a certain level of fail, because in 10 years time those games will look like shit. SS and WW on the other hand has such a distinct visual style that it'll still look good after a decade!

Anyways, I really love the huge scoop of this game! Enormous dungeons is awesome - IF they can fill them with interesting content!!

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
