Forums - Microsoft - How likely do you think the new xbox is to come in 2013?

The open has really good points.. BUT ..what you all forgot to mention a little game called GTA V. Available on the 360 next year.

What would you rather buy: a Durango with no games, $400 price tag, and minute visual upgrade?

1% chance in 2013

Where's the poll?

I'm gonna go with the fans on this one. They are the most likely to be active in keeping tabs on all the goss so put me down for 100%

Yep. 2013 is a sure thing for the nextbox. I will be stunned ridged if it doesnt come out next year.

Well, let's see...

Pachter recently said that Microsoft could delay the next Xbox until 2014, so yeah, I'm also 100% certain it'll launch in 2013.

It will be announced in May, just like Microsoft's first two console reveals.

Xbox Series, PS5 and Switch (+ Many Retro Consoles)

Prediction: Switch 2 will outsell the PS5 by 2030

Most likely, though I'm curious as to what software they'd have ready for launch other than ports of 3rd party games like the next COD. Halo 5 won't be until late 2014 at the absolute earliest, I don't think they'll have a new Fable ready by next holiday, and there's already another Gears coming out for 360 in spring.

I think they'll launch by holiday '13 anyway just so that Nintendo doesn't get a bigger lead than it already has with the Wii U, and that they don't give up ground to Sony who in all likelyhood won't put out the PS4 until sometime in 2014.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

I'm 100% sure we will be seeing it at E3 next year.

Microsoft has the money to make it very powerful, sell it at a loss, and still continue business for a 3rd generation. They have nothing tying them to this generation anymore but sales to a 'veteran fanbase'. They can make the leap whenever they want.

No new Xbox in 2013 - because there are no games for it to launch with. What, are they going to launch two Halo games within 12 months? Plus, product releases have a natural order of release, for example, first have the rumours, then the unveiling, then the DELAY, then second showing, then the release (or some order like that). With all that I don't see them releasing in 2013.

However, I think Microsoft and Sony will be MAD to let Nintendo get more that a years lead on them.

As for Sony, no way they going release hardware before Microsoft shows its hand - Sony being the copycats they are.

I love My Wii U, and the potential it brings to gaming.

Look for the create poll button when doing your OP. Not sure if you can do it retrospectively.
