i'd assume so. it's production values are low enough and the sales high enough to be a huge profit maker. holiday 2013.

For a series that sold 100 million in 2 entries, I'm not sure the production value currently reflects that fact.

It depends what you mean by polish. Sports Champions on the PS3 is a lot more polished in many ways yet that game gives off a cold, sterile feeling which isn't helped by its stereotyped character roster.

They would need to keep the cheery feel of the previous two games intact in order to replicate the success.

I'd have to agree with this, now how would making it a high production value game fit with that magic recipe? Is Resort that answer or is there more? Do you feel like Resort was the kind of game who's production value was worthy of 80m units and onwards? Or is there more that can be done, and is the WiiU's HD and gamepad capabilities the answer? I think there is more to WiiSports than what we've seen this far, and Kinect sports is a good indicator of what people want, the money this series generates should lead to even higher quality than Resort, which is already of high quality, I think.
