Good for next-gen, WiiU won't be drowned by shovelware from EA, good.

I'm sorry but this post screaaaaaaaaaams 'sour grapes'

OT: good stuff...and gonna be exciting to see what these games will end up being

Really? It was supposed to be sarcastic...Khan picked up on that...

At any rate, odds are good for these games to be on WiiU one way or another anyway, namely as its the first "next-gen' system.

let's be honest here...comments like these from EA are basically trolling wiiu by not even putting it in the 'next gen' category. They are specifically naming the next xbox/PS. I remember reading a very similar statement a few weeks back on gaf where another source alluded to the same thing. I would love to know what these 'signs' that make you have such 'odds' to be honest.

They did produce Dead Spce so I know they "can" be ballsy.

Next Gen should have some blockbusters by large corporations. Though on the plus side I see stores like arcade and the playstation store having possibly larger, cheaper, quality games to give room for smaller developers to make profit.

@ Mugen Of course, the Ninty fans hate EA and most third parties. HD fans have had tons of reason to be happy about third parties resulting in more positivity.

Yep. I can't wait to see what's gonna be coming up next. I know for sony on a first party level, dev teams of Santa Monica, ND, GG, Sucker Punch and Media Molecule are all working on new projects. Adding some solid 3rd party support to that would be wonderful and EA has made some really good stuff this gen

I personally hope for more action/adventure games! Fingers crossed

Yeah, it's clear EA (and a few other 3rd party devs) are ignoring the WiiU to an extent. Actually, more accurate would be not giving it a chance.

As to these signs? You only need to look at EA's games (though, mainly the Sports side) to see that they release games on every console going. Heck, the newest FIFA and Madden games launched on the PS2 as well. Battlefield? That's a different matter really. Less chance of that coming, but if games like COD and ZombiU sell well, and it's as easy to port over to WiiU as Nintendo suggest, then there's a good chance we'll see EA at least test the waters with a game. Same with Dead Space.

Sports titles are released on every console possible. That and this are very different tho. They are talking about new IPs based on Frostbyte engine. I'm sure at least 1-2 of them will be on a lot of platforms. But for yoru theory to become true, there are a LOT of Ifs involved. Since they specifically mention the next xbox/PS here...I don't see any reason to think otherwise.

But there's always a chance of ports later on I guess

Mostly I am just hoping the new projects from Sony and MS are not Kinect and Move projects. MS of course looks more likely to have Kinect projects due to it's success.

Action/ Adventure seems very likely from at leas S. M., ND, and Sucker Punch for sure based on their histories.

I call for more more WRPGS and Action Adventure myself too. The fps genre is a even starting to over flow the market and bore even for a huge shooter fan like me.

We all know that next gen is coming out next year but is it really alright for EA to come out and somewhat confirm it like this when the console manufacturers themselves have not confirmed it?

Well the Santa Monica game I was referring to was the one by Stig (the GOW3 guy)...it is said to be a shooter of some form. SP have hinted to a game that is most liekely not motion control based. I doubt ND will ever do a motion control based game. Chances are tho all of these will support move or w/e they have up their sleeves but won't require it (at least that's my hope)

MM has spent a huge chunk of money on R&D recently. I am really interested into seeing what they have come up with.

I just hope they mix 'shooting' with other genre more. Like Uncharted for example a TPS that is also action/adventure.

damn man I'm getting way too hyped for next gen....we don't know anything yet lol
