Forums - Sales - Japan Sales! Week 33(Aug. 13-19): Famitsu and Media-Create

No, I want Majoras Mask, but they said that they won't release two remakes in a row and a new Zelda would be next. A Wind Waker remake would only make sense on the Wii U. Wind Waker / Twilight Princess / Skyward Sword HD Collection plz. Ocarina of Time / Majoras Mask Collection for 3DS would have been ace but that ship has sailed I guess. Still want MM on 3DS though.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

TGS is decisive for Vita, indeed, 2013 has even less games than the 3DS, I think - can only think of Phantasy Star for big games - what's more? That Super Robot Wars game and Final Fantasy X which we still don't know nothing. 2 of 3 not exclusive. Not good. Anything else?

For 3DS is also VERY needed, just not as much
For 2013 we have so far Luigi's Mansion, Monster Hunter 4, Shin Megami Tensei 4, Layton vs Ace Attorney, Gyrozetter (that square RPG that I believe will do good numbers), Tomodachi Collection... hmm, anything else?

The good thing is that 2012 is packed for 3DS, with Animal Crossing, 2 Inazuma Elevens and well, Mario (NSMB and Paper)

Winning Eleven 2013 was announced for 3DS, PSP, and Wii, will be released the 1st of November. That should also help 3DS.  Source.

Yeah, it'll help a little! Updated my Japanese 3DS thread with it and last year's numbers

3DS = 3rd party game-selling machine.

Definitely the best option now for japanese developers.  Still not ideal, but getting there. With shovelware games like Run for Money selling more than 100k or even small series like calciobit and culdcept breaking series records things are promising.

Well well well... nice news here! Now with numbers!

Rune Factory 4 sells more than any other game in the series
August 27th, 2012 Posted in 3DS, News, Posted by Valay | No Comments »

Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto has confirmed that Rune Factory 4 is the best-selling game in the franchise. The fourth entry made its debut in July, selling 85,955 units in its first week.

The full listing of first week sales for the Rune Factory games is as follows:

(2006) Rune Factory – 42,210
(2008) Rune Factory 2 – 52,049
(2009) Rune Factory 3 – 41,279
(2012) Rune Factory 4 – 85,955

Rune Factory 4 sold 135,376 units through August 19. It has already surpassed life-to-date sales of the next closest title, Rune Factory 2, which has sold roughly 117,600 copies.

Nice news for Rune Factory 4, but Vita really needs a truly awesome holiday with truly awesome system-sellers to stand even a chance against the 3DS now...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
