Oh dear.

It was a decent conference at the very best.

The new Vita game by MM is the only good thing I saw. Puppeteer, Until Dawn looked really really bad.
Rain looks interessting. Killzone for the Vita was meh.

CoD on Vita looked sooo bad. PS Mobile allows you to play phone games on the vita... How unnecessary can a feature be?

Fifa with move looked insanely idiotic. It never really worked on the Wii and people preferred the PS3 / 360 versions instead. Now they are selling Move for Fifa as the oh so new hotness.

3/10 at best and only thanks to MM.

What are you saying LOL! Weve only seen 10 seconds of gameplay of Killzone and it looked BEAST. Did you even watch the trailer? CoD on Vita looks inferior to KZ Vita but on that 5" screen it will look good nonetheless.

Puppetteer and Until Dawn looked really bad? LOL!

Go find me another pressconference as good as this.

Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

I enjoyed it way more than the whole of E3.

But then again, I only watched E3 for Sony & Nintendo and Sony produced an average conference while Nintendo's was below-average.

I felt Sony knocked it out of the park with this Gamescom presentation. If Nintendo had been here too showing me more Pikmin 3 alongside something like Metroid/F-Zero/Star Fox or even a new IP, then I probably wouldn't even rate E3 at all this year!

Now, who wants to tell me what music Sony used... :)

3/10 does not qualify as 'decent'.

I think he means if he was being uber generous it would be "decent" but for him, 3/10 is about right.

Ah, ok. Clears that up.

Tear Away was the only game that appeared to be worth buying in my opinion.

COD Vita did not deliver; looked like a low-res Wii game, and that is supposed to sell handhelds?

The other games were more artistic, but that will do nothing for sales. PS3 PSN games will not change anything either.

I did not expect anything from this conference so having at least 1 exciting title is good, but the rest was not noteworthy. Maybe Diggs, but who is really buying the Wonderbook?

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

Yeh, those Saint's Row, DJ Hero and Assassin's Creed games on 3DS  that he especially wanted to 'draw our attention to' were really great.

I mean, they could have been if they weren't cancelled....

Around the Network

It was better than Sony's E3... but not overall or the entire E3 show.

However, I still enjoyed Nintendo's E3 or a few of the 3rd parties conferences more.

Lol no.

Atto Suggests...:

Book - Malazan Book of the Fallen series

Game - Metro Last Light

TV - Deadwood

Music - Forest Swords

Btw, nobody cares what you think of any of the games. PS3 is the platform for Fifa, I'd guess millions of Europeans with Moves will enjoy Fifa.

WiiU FIFA is better. The visuals are better as are the controls and options with the gamepad.

This first year it won't outsell the others, but it'll score better in reviews I'd bet.

Agreed. E3 was a huge bust and SCEE is by far the best part of sony.

SCEE has pretty much two studios that haven't been transferred to making casual games or outright shut down: Media Molecule and Guerilla

Media Molecule did show the best game of that conference (Tear Away), and then showed a gimmicky LBP2 DLC.

Guerilla showed a pretty decent looking PSP game.

Now compare those two to the entire American Sony lineup.

How could you forget Studio Liverpool, the guys behind Wipeout HD no less...tut tut, shame on you.

Britain disowned Liverpool a long time ago, and I imagine Europe has done the same.

Also Studio Liverpool hasn't made a new game since 2008, and Wipeout 2048 doesn't look especially innovative or exciting. Though I did love Wipeout HD back in the day.

Oh, and E3 had that great Last of Us gameplay video, the announcement and showcasing of Beyond, and God of War: Ascension. Those three alone are better than the entirety of this Gamescom conference.
