Okay guys here's my situations, unemployed because of wrist injury but I'm about 95% better now and I need to work now, no option I need money (apparently if I'm not 100% better it could come back, it's my tendon), looking for new job and found a few. My past work experience has always been in constructions, from concrete to bulding houses, just everything. Now I got a few job offers I'll list them out.

1. Applied for a company that manufactures plane parts, went to see the guy today he is very desperate to hire me but start off wages is pretty low compared to what I'm used to but he mentioned the harder you work the quicker your raises come and this company is known for rewarding employees well. It is also only a night shift position so from 3pm to 1 am which I'm okay about it but the GF is not very happy about it, monday to thursday. Also benefits, overtime, double time pay after 6 months. No worries about my wrist for this job.

2. This jobs requires me to fly out to a different province thousands of miles away from home and is basically nothing but work and sleep everyday for a 2 -3 months. Now the problem I'm concerned about is there's a small possibly the problem with my wrist will come back if I work it hard enough and  this job will probably do it. The pay is amazing, about 3 - 4 times more money a week that I've ever made, the money is ridiculous here, the hours will be long, maybe 80 hour weeks, so nothing but sleep work for 2 - 3 months. So when I get back I still have to find a permanent job I'm thinking if I do job number 2 I can hopefully do number 1 job when I get back. Again GF not very pleased with me being gone for a few months.

3. Go back to my old company they are currently working a huge job (about 70 houses start to finish) about a 2 -3 hour drive away but with decent pay (not as much as I should be making for what I do), but also high risk of damaging wrist again.

4. Keep looking for another job, something around where I live with better pay, but will probably be not the greatest on my wrist.

There's quite a few options and I'm just confused, tomorrow I'm going to call my father about job offer number 2 which he is currently at and find out more details. Help me out guys what do I do.

Why did your company lay you off if you just had an injury?

I told them I needed time off for my wrist to heal, they were pretty cool about it, I also told them I may need to find another job easier on my wrist, they just said if your ever back to 100% and looking to do construction again give us a call.

Oh, well that's nice of them.

I would go back with them since you know them well. You might be able to tell your boss that you might need some breaks since you aren't 100%. He should understand, hopefully!

But it's a two hour drive away from where their working, so I'm going from a "okay" pay to now I have to pay about $50 a day for gas.

Okie dokie, go with the 2nd one then. If they don't understand the wrist issue and they won't let you get breaks then go with the 1st.

I'd say it depends on how "Not cool" with it your girlfriend is... how responsible you are, and how much you like your girlfriend.

The thing about job number 2 is... if your responsible with your money, you'd be making nearly a years worth of money in 1/4th of a year.

Which would allow you to be more patient and pick the right job. If you think the relationship wouldn't be too strained, that seems like the best option to start with.

I would pick the first one. My sister (22) works the night shift at a hospital, and she does fine with it. Doesn't seem to have issues with the whole sleep schedule issue. You get used to it I guess. She just got married in April, and her job doesn't seem to affect her relationship. They've been together for about 5 or 6 years, but depending on how long you've been with her, it shouldn't be a big deal. If she loves you, she should let you do what you want to do.

On that note, YOU should do what you want to do the most.

Do the plane part job, sounds exciting.
