Has anyone bought this from steam? I seem to be experiencing a weird issue.

Every time I load up the game, instead of help text and game text, I instead get code or the developer place holder text.

E.g when I try to talk to the narrator, his name pops up as "NPC_TownNarrator"

and when I try to read help menus, NOTHING pops up.

Any ideas?

That is a weired problem, try verifying the game cache

How?

Right click on the game in your library -> properties -> Local files -> verify integrity of game cache

It works fine for me too, I also bought it in the summer sale.
You can try to delete local content and reinstall, I think it asks you if you want to keep the save games. Better check though.
