Well, romantic relationships don't exist for the purpose of having sexual intercourse. There is a lot more to it than that. Sex is just a small, small part of it. If you're in a relationship only for sex, you'll grow bored very, very quickly and move on to someone else.

So then explain what a romantic relationship is about if sex is just small small part of it?

Is that a serious question? What percentage of time for a couple married 25 years do you think is spent having sex?

And you thinkthis is still a romantic relationship? And it does not matter how many times they have, it matters that they still have.

But that was not my question.

My point is very simple.  If you're honestly saying that sex is all that a romantic relationship is for, then it suggests you're very confused.  If it were true, then the only activity that couples engaged in would be sex.  Obviously, that is far from the only activity romantic couples engage in.  I shouldn't have to explain to you what people do when they're not engaged in intercourse.

Of course Sex is not the only thing in romantic relatioship, it is "just" the peak.  It is to crown the relationship to share the love in the most intimate way. A romantic relationship without sex is like Beer without alcohol. Why bother.

This is obviously an opinion between different people as you can see from this thread.

You talking to me?

No, I was just talking about something totally random. ()

No way, ever heard of love? Love is different to sexual urges, Love is better than sexual urges.

I don't know. The sex and the need for companionship are definitely things that draw you towards somebody but could I exist as a totally asexual being? That would be a betrayal of who I am and a total disrespect to my penis. I'd like to think I'm more than that but I really don't know. Interesting thread idea, though. Quite a change from the norm.

Thinking about it a bit more, I guess I could fall in love with somebody and not have sex. I mean, if my GF were in an accident or something and had her pussy severed, I think I'd still be with her. I've reached a point where I've done pretty much everything I've ever wanted to do, anyway. What matters more than anything right now is that she is happy and never has a reason to be scared or suffer. I guess that's love, right? Sex got us where we are but there were plenty of girls that were prettier, smarter, and were better at having sex. We just seem to have a great balance and sex is almost an insignificant part of the relationship, now.

Okay Regis. I'm ready to vote. Yes is my final answer. *votes yes*

I had already suggested that this was an opinion thread so it was weird for you to say that.

I was answering the title and the OP, though. Isn't that the whole point to it? To know the basis to your question? (I also answered with my opinion, however.)
