I like this graph here, which shows the PS3 is right in line with Wii sales at this point in it's lifetime. Though with differences in launch dates (and thus a difference in holiday sales), the next few weeks might be more telling. Either way, I don't think it has a chance to pass Wii sales quite yet.

Well since PS3 are now bundled with TV does that mean that those that argue Wii Sport and Wii Play numbers should be taken out of software sales charts are now going to argue that PS3 sales numbers should be taken out of hardware sales charts? It's only fair after all

i wouldn't bet on it.
i've been keeping track of the gfk australian sales charts and those "big"games they mentioned couldn't even manage to break the top 10 all format charts, let alone boost ps3 hardware sales.

the writer of the article doesn't know what he's talking about.

interesting though, that Sony has a chance to break all Nintendo's "fastest to X consoles" records in Australia, at least for the next couple of weeks.

PS3 is doing quite well in Australia really, compared to many other countries, but we've always been a Nintendo hating stronghold (and Nintendo hates us in return)
