IGN reported that SPOnG reported it.  Here's an excerpt from SPOnG's FAQ:

       What is the status of SPOnG?

I bet if it said nintendo makes over $700 in pofit for every wii sales you would believe it :P j/k


Financial reports will show a loss, since this was just recently were ps3 cost was = to production cost.

This is good if true, This means that they are making profit on ps3 in general(including software sales).

Weren't Sony planning to make profit on each PS3 sold by the 31st of March 2008. They could well be close to breaking even now then.

No, they were hoping to break even by March of 2009 but wouldn't even promise that.

aA least the could be getting even with the console sales and making a profit out of software and accesories!

 That must be overall, not on each PS3 sold.
