Slightly Mad Studios declares Project CARS as ‘the racing game with the most advanced graphics’

Slightly Mad Studios has sent us a new set of community screenshots for its upcoming racing game, Project CARS. As always, the following shots look spectacular and as the company states, these screenshots show off the most advanced graphics in simulation racing, including stunning lighting effects, realistic dynamic clouds, detailed 3D trees and plenty of other details that will blow you away. Project CARS is currently planned for a March 2013 release. Enjoy the screenshots after the jump!

But will it take full advantage of the Wii U's graphics or will it just be a port from one of the old HD twins?

From what I've read it really pushes PCs and looks spectacular. This game is going to give Forza and GT a run for their money if done correctly. Hell if done right it can steal fans away from the PC sim racing crowd.

I'm still waiting to see the Wii U versions screen shots. They keep showing the PC version, but we are seeing nothing for the consoles. Doesn't matter how well it looks on the PC if none of that can be done a console.

Also, I'm not liking the environments. Is it a rule that environments must look horrid in racing games? I wish people would stop trying to copy Gran Turismo.

Urgh yeah, the environments in GT are so dry. Forza keeps it interesting, it's prettier.

They both look pretty poor to me

Then look right above your post. The evironment graphics in that game were almost on par with the racing games on N64. 95% of all of the graphics went into the cars and the lighting.

There are a lot of people who say the environments don't matter in a racing game. I am not one of them.

Well you could've picked a better Forza screenshot .

(but agree on the core point though)

Somebody else had made and it was convinient enough, so I posted it.

Overall, Forza does have better environments but neither of them are good.
