Forums - Sony - Sony having a difficult time getting third party support for the Vita

And as far as my statement about AC Vita being the top seller for the holidays its two things really

1. Its doing better than COD currently in terms of pre orders

2. The bundle is actually being pre ordered and will move some systems. Consumers who were interested in getting a Vita but dont need one immediatly are generally preordering the bundle thanks to getting AC and a memory card for free.

Now keep in mind however that if COD garners high review scores and gets tons of advertising this could all change but if current trends hold AC should do pretty well for Vita as long as reviews arent terrible.

Plus COD hasn't even been unveiled yet so its at a clear disadvantage in that respect. Is the vgchartz preorder chart accurate or should liberation be on there somewhere?

Exactly for all we know the COD unveil could be incredible and itll massivley surge in preorders. Im only basing my predictions on Creed itself. It should easily sell more than any of the current Vita games on the market

And I wont comment on the Vgchartz pre order data because its hugely off and ive decided to not openly discuss their data Ill only talk about my own due to respect for the site

Interesting. Well if you want to send me a PM or something I would really appreaciate it. And of course there would be full confidentiality.

It's cuz Vita isn't innovative enough. It's nothing I haven't seen before.

Neither is the 3DS really...

Mostly, and that's why I've held out on getting. I'm mostly just getting the XL for the games.

But, I didn't even know about those 3D screens until the 3DS, so it was new for me.

Well I guess no need to wear glasses is a pretty big thing.

I thought the bundles no longer came with memory cards. At least that's what I got from the updated Madden 13 (12.5) Vita bundle.

Well first of all, Bioshock Vita has a pretty good chance at becoming the next big vaporware. Irrational Games struggles to get Infinite out of the gates and a bunch of important people apparently left the studio because of this. It makes me really sad because the Bioshock Vita announcement was a really big factor for my decision to buy a Vita.

Second, AC:L selling best out of the known titles is not really a risky prediction. It has the brand, the bundle and is not a direct port. The only competitor for this title is CoD and that game hasn't been shown at all right now. The rest of the games are direct ports of PS3 games so they will have to share their audience. But AC:L being the best does not automatically mean that it will be a hit. In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king.

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Bold makes me wonder, why are people holding onto gen 7 successes. These were created in gen7 and most may no longer be successful in gen 8.

Rather Vita should continue to look for that emergent success for the new generation. I know they are trying, but I just had that thought due to what you're saying about Bioshock (which is a shame because it's an excellent series).

YAY!!!! Another daily "Sony is teh doomed" thread!

**looks up top selling vita game and finds uncharted at 0.65M**

so we might even see vita have it's first million seller.  i'm both happy and sad at the same time...

thanks for the clarifications ben.  i wasn't trying to make more of your statement than what you said but i do trust your intel so it is the best thing i've got to discuss vita game sales.  :)
