How is this exactly awesome? Is the picture tied in to any type of news at all, maybe?
I now wonder if this is some sort of scheme where we may see a reformed PS3 controller.

Considering EU Blog (or was it NA?) are running a competition to redesign the DS3...
I'm saying it's awesome because it LOOKS cool.
Whenever I see a Sony controller I always think of a SNES controller with joysticks and arms

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

So, it is true they're looking to redesign the controller? I don't know how else they can make it more perfect that it is now. The only two flaws I noticed was its six-axis and the triggers. I sure hope Sony doesn't fall into this Wii U gamepad, or Microsoft's SmartGlass nonsense.

The picture has been online for years. Still looks really nice, though.
