I can tell you from personal experience that it's a bad idea to collect bad karma points in this thread. It will either hurt your team or your predictions, maybe even both.

I predict your Bears won't win this week.

Yeah, you're probably right about the karma. Seems like when I start talking... I start losing. lol.

Bears won't win or lose this week.

Oh Superchunk. You lose no matter what!

I'll be honest. I chuckle everytime I have to enter someone's pick for Cleveland.

They can't possibly go 0-16...right?

They probably won't, but the Bengals are usually reliable in beating the bad teams (they lost to the Dolphins last week though).

At the moment the Browns' best bet is their home game against the Chiefs. I think they also have higher probabilities to win against the Colts, Raiders and Redskins than the Bengals. The Browns seem to be a team where everything has to come together nicely in order for them to win a game. Other teams can make up for their mistakes, but the Browns usually fall short and thus lose their games.

I see the Browns more as the team that has the talent and scheme to win 6 games, but not the discipline or focus. They had no business losing Week One, when the Eagles were hellbent on giving the game away. Their games against the Bengals and Ravens were also perfectly winnable: a more disciplined group would have won one of those and lost the other. They're kind of like the post-Gruden Raiders: there's enough there on paper to be competitive, but the intangibles mean they screw themselves over everytime they get a chance to.

I pity the Browns.

Isn't this basically the same thing I just said?

I read it as the opposite. "Everything has to come together" in my mind generally means "they gotta get lucky, because they suck," whereas I'm saying "they don't suck, but they shoot themselves in the foot." I guess I just misread though.

I can see how it can be interpreted that way. What I meant was that they can't afford turnovers, because it's always breaking their back. Unlike other teams which can still come back after one or more miscues.

Out of interest, which teams do you think are worse than the Browns?

Tough to say. I'd lump them in at the bottom with the Raiders, Titans, Chiefs, Jags, and Panthers. Hard to say what precise order those teams belong in, but I'd say the Browns are probably better than the Titans and Raiders, and equal to the other three. The difference between these teams is all pretty small, though.

Where would you put them?

Browns barely lost to Bengals in week 2 AT CIN.
They are divisional rivals.
Bengals are not a good team either.
They are AT CLE.

I have a very good chance of Browns getting their first win this week.

The Jets have been a hard team to predict, because I never know which Sanchez is going to show up.
