so a franchise stays in the same division/conference regardless where they are in the country like the raiders who were LA when i was younger, although maybe the raiders have always been in california right? doing a quick google they started in oakland anyway

i know i've asked before last year but how can LA not have a football team, surely there is money in it somewhere being one of the major cities in the usa

Los Angeles used to have two teams at one time (the Raiders and the Rams).  Also, the Chargers were originally in L.A.  Rumor has it that the VIkings would have moved there if they didn't get their recent stadium deal.  I think that it's only a matter of time before we see a team there.

The Cowboys have the #1 ranked defense in the league and the Bears offensive line is offensive.  It doesn't take a genius to see hoew that might turn out.  Also, the Bears usually are terrible on MNF.

Oh, and I always cheer for the Browns over the Ravens because of the history.  It's a shame that the Browns are have been so dismal since their "return" to the NFL.

It also didn't take a genius to figure out that the 49ers are a better team than the Vikings on both sides of the ball. This is a sport and teams don't perform according to their average season stats everytime. There are days when everything seems to work perfectly and then there are days when nothing goes together. If it was just a matter of comparing stats between each team, then picking the right team to win the game would be easy as pie.

The best argument you can make against a Bears win is that superchunk picked them.

Well obviously predicting games this year has been excruciatingly difficult this season, but the Bears O-Line is dreadful.  It has more holes in it than Swiss cheese.  It's so lousy that it makes the Packers defense look great.  Should I keep going?

It won't matter, because Romo will throw a pick six twice.

Also, the Packers defense hasn't given up many points this season, so it's actually not as bad as you make it out to be.

Could be.  This would be the argiment for the Bears winning.

Yep, the Packers defense might not be as bad as I think.  They've played the Bears, 49ers, and Seahawks so far and those teams usually light up the scoreboards.  Watch them beat the Saints 41-38 this week.

Last year the Packers defense was so bad that opponents averaged around 30 points per game. Basically, just about every offense would look good against the Packers defense.

Regardless, you are probably right that Saints vs. Packers will be a shootout. But here's hoping that Brees will continue to make bad decisions and that the Saints defense will continue to be atrocious.

Saying that the Packers defense will be better than last year means that you would prefer a punch in the gut to a kick in the crotch.  Of course I feel that the will be better than last year, but that doesn't mean that they will be very good.  Also, the Packers were scoring over 40 points a game so are you seeing red flags about the demise of the offense?  I'm not either since they played three very good defensive teams.  Three very good defensive teams that don't score much.  Do you see at all where I am coming from?

The real reason that the Saints are losing is not because of Brees, but because both the head coach and defensive coordinator are absent. No team would do well under those circumstances.

To be honest, I don't see the Saints scoring more than 3 touchdowns against Green Bay this time around, yet I do see the Packers torching the Saints secondary. NO will get a few field goals but they are not passing 28 points against Green Bay.

Last week th ePackers were embarrassed on a national stage in one of the most controversial moments of NFL history. They HAVE to come out of this game with a victory; their season depends on it.

It also helped to clean up some of the regional inconsistencies of the past. For example, I am quite sure that Atlanta was in the NFC West previously.

You are correct. Also in the NFC "West": New Orleans, Saint Louis, Carolina, and San Francisco.

At least one of those was west of the Mississippi!

I should beat the both of ya.

1) For rol blasting my picking capabilities (yes last two weeks sucked, but last season I beat you!)

2) For you betting against the Bears when its only a 3pt spread. Cutler is ready to have a good game again. Last two sucked.

My 6-10 for last week doesn't look that bad.  I was watching Inside the NFL and Chris Collinsworth (the smartest man that ever lived) went 4-12.

U picked Dallas over Chicago? No trust on Cutler or defense?

It's the offensive line that I don't trust.  They're awful and Dallas' defense is very good.
