You got to love John Elway's confidence and swagger. I bet his quotes will be shacking the NFL with gems for many years to come. I will say as the article asks, even before Peyton was a Bronco i thought him the best quarterback of this time. Truly a man worth respect and admiration. I just got lucky to have him on my team.

"My goal," the Broncos legend-turned-executive said March 20, "is to make Peyton Manning the best quarterback to ever play the game."

"If he wins two more championships, he'll be, without a doubt, the greatest quarterback ever to play the game."

I'd love to join but not until my team becomes playoff material; even my NBA team is doing horrible. Several years have been horrible sports-wise for me. At least I've been profiting from office pool three years in a row now.

I don't know that I particularly care one way or another about a female ref. If she can do the job, then good for her. If she can't, then she should be fired. Same as any other ref for the game.

@choco; The best thing the Broncos have done was bringing Elway back to the team. I haven't seen any fans this excited since he retired after the second Super Bowl win.

You should be happy the Kings are Champions of hockey.

@insomniac I would agree that there is a confidence not felt since Elway. It is a rare sport that has a player even more important than the goalie in terms of having success. It feels good, as I am sure you can agree.

Two more Super Bowls at that age?  Ha!  The only guy that I can think of that's ever done that is well... er... John Elway and Peyton Manning is no John Elway.

after watching the saints and patriots preseason game i feel a bit better about the pats defense this year Chandler Jones looked good against Bushrod. Hightowter also looked good but the backfield cant cover. the offense seam out of sync and the o line wasn't that good hopefully once waters gets back it can be better. the running backs looked ok and lloyd looked like he could get open he just needs to get into sync with Brady.

I am going give my less tall response and agree with you. There too many really good quarterbacks and teams to make a champion. Parity is pretty close.

Though I believe Manning has the numbers to easily out  do Elway. Most fans blame it on his long time performance under conservative coach Reeves. Thankfully, I only remeber the time under Mike Shanahan.

As far as the Broncos tonight, I really liked the performance of Willis Maghee and Moreno. We we need a good running game rather than the all passing game of some teams to be the best. And wow amp Chacagonians sure did boo Caleb Hanie when he looked pretty good.

Denver played exceptionally well. Even their second and third strings did a great job. On the offense I really liked what I saw from Oman, I hope he gets a spot on the team. Hanie and Weber also did pretty well.

Yes, the depth of the running back position sure is a good thing for Denver. I just wonder who will be number one. Most of all if any player goes dowen it will be good to be solid at the position.

Without Tebow it is hard to think the Broncos will be number one in rushing, but they are solid there and they should be good.

Yeah Moreno was kind of a let down though, but I guess he has a few more games to prove his worth.  I believe we'll be a top team in rushing again this year.  Mostly because were probably going to not make Manning throw every ball like the colts did.  Got to protect the investment haha.
