The Patriots are a horrible mathcup for the 49ers. The 49ers rely on keeping the score low. The second that team falls behind by two touchdowns the game is pretty much over.

Possesion does not change at the end of a quarter, only at half-time. The game basically continued exactly as it was in the 4th quarter, with the only change being that they flipped which side of the field they were on.
