giants are a bit hit and miss then for such a "good" team that people seem to say they are,for our league i'm still hanging around so pleased with that since i don't know the ins & outs,

from my far away view it really is quite hard to call on any given sunday so you have to respect that about the NFL apart from houston & atlanta, then from a foreign point of view you have new england, baltimore, denver, san francisco & green bay these seem to be the strongest teams to me

A joke is supposed to be funny...

So, what do you think about the 49ers QB situation?  I personally think that Harbaugh is doing a lousy thing considering that Smith was 18 for 19 in his last full game.

I'll remember that the next time the words "cancer patient" appear in your posts...

I think we've pretty much seen Smith's cieling. Worse, it appears that the entire offense has to be scaled back to compensate for his deficiencies. I doubt Kapernick (sic?) is the answer, but I don't fault Harbaugh for trying something new when the chance arose. Of course, he (Harbaugh) made some bad decisions in yesterday's game, so it's easier to second-guess him now than it would have been earlier.

That wasn't a joke.  Aaron Rodgers blew that lady off...

I think that Harbaugh should have stayed with Smith.  Notice that I said these things before the loss.  If his ceiling was him having the third highest QB rating in the NFL, then I really don't see anything wrong with having that guy as your starter.

Edit:  He's now fourth behind RG3.  What a year that guy is having.

The new NFL power rankings pretty much agre with you and seem to follow winning record more than anything.

Not to Zuvu directly, but it is Raider hating week again in Denver, so you can expect a lot of  trash talking pics before Thursday's game. Piss on the Raiders.

The real question is: Who will beat the Patriots this year?

The Texans then San Francisco.

I meant in the Superbowl. The Patriots seem to make it to the superbowl every other year.

For the good of the sport hopefully the Wildcard team if they face them. I suspect they will if they lose to both the Texans and the 49ers. Both teams are amongst the best defenses, and they can score. Especially Houston.

NE is actually favored in Mondays game coming up even though NE has the 26th best defense in the league. NE is just a power house in the offense section, it should be a good test late in the season for both teams. Patriots have won 19 straight second half season games in a row. Quick tipsies.

This is a good point.  The Patriots hardly ever lose this time of year (especially at home).

I am actually up in the air about who I am going to pick in the Pats and Texans game.

Another New England Superbowl equals yawn. You guys should be watching baseball in Boston anyways. I cannot wait to see what happens.

I have never posted in this thread before, but as (sadly) a Miami Dolphins fan, that loss to the Patriots was a rough one to swallow. The Dolphins played exactly the type of game they needed to play to beat the Pats, and lost because they couldn't execute well enough on offense. They kept Brady off balance and limited offensive turnovers, but gave the Patriots 14 points because of a botched punt, and then a roughing the punter penalty that saved a Patriots drive. On top of that, Tennehill over threw a wide open Brian Hartline TWICE for what would have been a touch down.

After all that, the Dolphins still lost by only 7 points. It's not that bad because I expected a loss, but it sucks when your team has a much better team on the ropes and just can't finish, especially a divisional rival. Eh, least the Jets and Bills still suck.
