That it was. Well, I'm sure it won't come back to haunt them...

yay 1-0 so far.

At least Brees' streak has ended. I will take that silver lining, thank you very much.

Wish I could have saw the game (had work). Did I miss anything spectacular?

The Saints got blown out early, then they started to take charge, then Brees said "nah, screw that," pulled a Cutler, and starting targeting the cornerbacks and safeties. Five picks later, the game was done.

falcons came through then,i am glad i stuck with the crowd

Tell me how many times Cutler has thrown 5 picks.  I'll give you a hint.  It's the same as Drew.  Talk crap about someone else...

Why on earth anyone with half a brain would have picked the Saints last night is beyond me.  I was going to make a grocery list of reasons that the Falcons were going to win before the game, but then I noticed that most of the members that picked the Saints were close to me in the prediction league and I didn't need to give any of you guys any help.

I doubt your list contained the point "Brees will throw 0 TDs and 5 INTs", because that's really what last night's game was all about. The Saints could have won this, if Brees hadn't pulled a Cutler.

Cutler only has thrown 5 Ints as often as the great Drew Brees.  Compare Drew to a crappy QB that does something like that consistently...

Some reasons picking the Saints to me was crazy:

Revenge game.

Atlanta always wins at home.

The Saints don't have a head coach.

Atlanta only has lost one game all year and ther second wasn't going to be to the Saints again.

Atlanta has a better running game.

Atanta has a better defense.

Atlanta has a better tight end.

I am not a bandwagoner for the Saints (or the Packers for that matter).

Fine, Brees pulled a Ryan.

The Saints had won 11 of their last 13 meetings against the Falcons and the last time they lost to them was in New Orleans. The Falcons won barely any game this season by two scores or more, they struggled in a lot of games. Matt Ryan is overrated.

I think the best reason you could have given is "dumb luck".

You mean Brees pulled a Favre.  He threw 6 picks in a playoff game once and more than anyone ever.

Rol, just face it.  Without their entire coaching staff the Saints are not as good of a team as the Falcons.  There is a reason why a head coach gets paid a lot of money and the Saint's seaon is a testament to that.  I'm not saying that Ryan and the Falcons aren't a tad overrated, but they are a pretty darned good team until they are in the playoffs.  Maybe they can change that this year.

Favre having Reggie White come over to the Packers to lead the team to the Super Bowl, now that's "dumb luck".
