I'll refrain from making predictions until I know who all of the starting QBs are going to be. I'm looking at you Cardinals.

With that O-Line, the only difference is which one gets concussed before the half, and which one after.

This is possiblty true, but the Cardinals won more games than I would have ever expected with Skelton starting last year while Kolb is only being considered because have gets paid 9 bajillion dollars a year to be lousy.

So the Cardinals will suck this year. Still hard to tell how they will fare against NFC West teams not named 49ers though.

Btw, you missed a column in your predictions.

Question directed at everyone: Are the Bills going to be better this year? I've seen some people picking them over the Jets, although it could just be that the Jets are expected to be worse this year.

Also, nobody seems to have faith in Oakland, except for that one guy with only a dozen of posts who thinks that they will win the NFC West (yes, NFC West).

I think that many people think that the Jets are going to disintegrate due to inner turmoil.  This a team that already had a lot of egos clashing in the locker room last season when things went badly.  Also, their head coach is rather brash and signs checks that his ass can't cash.  Adding crowd favorite (for whatever reason) Tim Tebow to the mix and saying that you are going to bring him in when the Jets are in the red zone cannot possibly make an inconsistent QB (Mark Sanchez) feel good about his job security and I'm pretty sure that he will start pressing and doing foolish things.  Fans will start chanting "Tebow! Tebow!  Tebow!" and eventually get their wish.  He will become their starter somewhere around mid-season and they will find out that he's extremely profficient at completing passes with the ground.

The Bills were one of the best bad teams in football last year.  Will they improve on that?  Probably not, but if they do they will finish better than the Jets in my opinon.  I personally think that both teams will be somewhere between mediocre and crappy with the Jets slightly edging them out.  Of course the Patriots will dominate this division.

The thing with Oakland is that in order to buy into them you have to think that Carson Palmer is going to have a good year.  Since early in his career, Palmer puts up nice statistics and then throws a late game interception to barely lose the game, but looks pretty good in defeat.  He's kind of like Tony Romo, but he wins less.

Thank you kindly, sir.

Bills are probably going to tread water this year, but since the Jets have all the problems amp outlined (additionally, the offense and defense are already at each other's throats) they'll probably stink. Whodathunk that a coach encouraging a dog-eat-dog atmosphere could come back to bite the team?

The arrow's definitely going up in Oakland. Hard not to when your team is no longer run by the Cryptkeeper. But they had so many bad contracts, so few draft picks, and so little money on hand this year that the improvement is going to be deferred. I expect them to actually be a mite worse this year.

This is a better explanation than I could have offered.

I'd like to add that I think Oakland will actually finish at the bottom of the AFC West this year. At least from what I know of the Chiefs this year, I expect them to be significantly better. The Chargers are just a toss up on whether or not they suck, but I think they won't be any worse than last year. And though I'm clearly biased about the Broncos, I do think that they are a much better team than they were last year.

As is my duty as a life long Broncos fan, I feel I must say I hope Sebastian Janokowski stays injured a long time. One of the best kickers of all time who tied Jason Elam's all time  longest field goal of 63 yards on Broncos grass. Screw him! Why not a Niners fan? They have won superbowls more recently than the Raiders.

@ Broncos fans and all too. Peyton would have killed the niners had he and all the other staters played the whole game. 17 points in one quarter over last years best defense to zero. Things are looking promising for that old guy!

Tebow looked great for the Jets going 4 for 14 in his last preseason performance. Looks like he is no longer blessed by the mile high city.
