They'll cough up 1,000 yards, but since Vick'll give it away in the red zone we'll just call them "opportunistic."

Story of our season!
| KingHades said: Texans in the SuperBowl? The chances of that are 1 to 1 million. Matt Schaub is terrible, they have a bad offense going on there. I'm going to say the Giants because every Giants fan knows come playoff time it's Elite Manning time. The 4 teams that could make the Super Bowl are: 49ers,Giants,Broncos,Patriots. |
Houston is actually quite the threat. It is actually a shame they do not get tested more to see if they could handle the playoffs. Their style does not require Schaub to be increadible just consistant. Arian Foster and the D do more than enough to make this team unique and good. Da Bears finally can show if the are really as good as their record shows.

Eagles....
Somebody's gotta go.

This has got to be the worst o-line in the history of the NFL

Half the starting O-line is injured. And the Detroit game really exposed how weak it was, so now everyone is blowing it up.

I'll change my prediction for MNF to 20-38 for New Orleans. I didn't expect to have a chance at the top 5 this week, so I predicted out of spite against my most hated NFC team. I also didn't know that Sproles is injured when I made my original prediction and the Saints defense is obviously trash. Still predicting a blowout, but not by a margin that could screw me over in case of a Saints win by 21 points (as my 3-45 prediction would). |
I'm sorry Rol, but I have to object here. There was a similar stiuation a couple of week ago when I picked the Bears to defeat the Lions 37-13 as a joke since that was the score they defeated them by last time and honestly didn't think that would be the score, but I didn't whine about changing the MNF score at the time because that would be a disingenous way to try to pick up PP. I think that after the first batch of Sunday games start, that no one should be able to change anything.
Whoa. Whoa. Whoa. The Eagles are your most hated NFC team? Hand in your Packers fan card now. Never have I ever heard a REAL Packers fan say that they EVER hate ANY team more than the Bears. You obviously don't know anything about how Bears and Packers fans feel about the opposing teams. I'll tell you right now that there is no team that makes me want to projectile vomit like the Packers. When I see the colors yellow and green anywhere close to each other I let a profanity laced tirade about Aaron Rodgers and Clay Matthews loose.

That year's team gave me the same reaction.
| RolStoppable said: It's time for an elaborate NFC North discussion. All teams still have a chance to win the division and go to the playoffs, whether that is as winner of the NFC North or with a wildcard spot. The current standings are: Bears (7-1), Packers (6-3), Vikings (5-4), Lions (4-4). It's undeniably looking good for the Bears, but let's take a deeper look at the remaining schedules of all four teams. Games that the teams are expected to win are bolded.
This means that the Packers will win the NFC North with a 10-6 record, the Lions finish in second with 9-7 ahead of the Bears who will also have a record of 9-7 (both teams will also be 2-4 in the division, but the Lions won more games in the NFC), the Vikings will finish last with a record of 8-8. Unfortunately for the Lions and Bears fans, this means that the Packers will be the only NFC North team to make the playoffs this year, because the two NFC wildcard spots will go to Seattle and New Orleans who will both have a 10-6 record. |
If your predictions are anything like this in the upcoming weeks then I feel extremely confident that I will pass you by. You could make a more realistic argument saying that the Packers will go 12-4 and the Bears 11-5, but the truth is that's not going to happen either. Also, no way the Lions are going 9-7.
