As someone said earlier Its usually because theyre new to it. When I tried it that first month thats a lot of what I talked about. I look back at it and I feel retarded but oh well. Being 4 months sober I was in a lobby and I mentioned it to my friend that "Its been awhile when are we gonna hop on that fumar?" Fumar is what we call it and we were interupted by someone saying pretty much what you are now but a lot, A LOT, more ape shit crazy.

Thus trash talking began. 

He was on the other team. With his buddy who stayed quiet during all of it.

We destroyed them. They called bullshit. You guys know the usual.

It's very simple.

I suppose it's true, and then some vices make you less able to understand that you're bragging about your vice to people who couldn't care less, like in college when people would brag to me about how drunk they were, whereas if you're still sober, you probably aren't as likely to brag about it out of context or when clearly inappropriate.

Because weed is awesome. Dunno why you'd make a topic to talk about it if you hate it so much, but that's your thing.

By the way, in your post, you mention professional pot smokers. Please give me some more information about this paid pot smoking position. I think that job would be a good fit for me. Thanks in advance.

I was a cop (and I was actually a certified marijuana examiner until I let my certification run out) and at the same time, between 1995 and 2009, I dated two seperate women that sold marijuana (and smoked it like crazy).  One is in prison now.  The other is happily married with two children.  I don't hate marijuana.  I used to love marijuana.  I just don't feel like listening to people talk about marijuana.  It's like listening to somebody talk about sex.  It's okay every now and then but goddam.  If that's all you ever talk about all of the time, you suddenly become somebody I go out of my way to avoid.

In fairness sometimes you get really high and pointing out how high you are is about all you can do.

Also if you think its bad to be the only sober person in a high room imagine being the only high person in a sober room.

Two words; THEY KNOW

Professional pot sellers is not the same as professional pot smokers.  You sir, have shattered my dreams.

But seriously, if you get a bunch of gamers together, they'll talk about gaming.  Get a ton of Lost fans together and they'll babble about that for a good while.  I can't even begin to count the number of Game of Thrones conversations I've had to endure.  And, if you get a bunch of pot fans together, they'll talk about pot.  Among the 20+ crowd I don't find pot smokers to be any more obnoxious or vocal than those who enjoy any other shared hobby, and I find them significantly less obnoxious than heavy drinkers.  The only problem tends to be with younger people who treat pot like a bigger deal than it is because it's counterculture and illegal.

And you're probably right.  I don't feel the way I felt when I made this thread.  At the time, I was just thinking "OKAY, YOU SMOKE POT.  WE GET IT." But right now, I'm feeling pretty mellow.  Gonna watch the Olympics until I fall asleep.  The party never stops when you're d21lewis.
