@Gameboy

The Wii is more like the xbox so i also wouldn't class it as 'Next gen'

So now the definition of next-gen is processing and graphical power? Isn't the generation of consoles solely defined by the timeframe when the consoles were released?

If that was the case if someone shoved a ZX Spectrum into a console and launched it tomorrow would it be considered next gen??

To u dummies. Wii is next gen. Why? Cause of it's motion controls. It's motion controls is another closer step into virtual reality. If any of u can't understand that. Then u are messed up in the head.

That's just marketing hype. Notice how they're implying that all DBZ games in existance aren't complete rubbish? They're trying to make the game sound better by praising the consoles it is on, and probably don't mean anything negative against other platforms.

Well the Wii is not next-gen, no next-gen hardware, no next-gen specs whatsoever...when Nintendo fans have to constantly defend their console as being "next-gen"...then you KNOW it's not seen by anyone else but yourself, as "next-gen" lol.

And thank god btw, Atari can focus on making this game optimal for PS3, then 360. Even for cell shading it looks smoother and sleeker then the last budokai3. I've been a huge fan of those goofy DBZ:Budokai games, so im really lookin forward to layin back and trainin' up Vegeta for some online play.

Of course Wii isn't next gen. It's current gen just like 360 and PS3, people need to wrap their heads around this.

But the fact that fanboys have deluded themselves into thinking that there's a such thing as "next gen" specs is pretty hilarious. Seriously, you have to be pretty desperate to try and change the definition of "next gen" from the timeframe of release to some imaginary requirement like "next gen specs" that has no real meaning and varies from fanboy to fanboy. Are people that afraid of the Wii that they have to act like jealous school children on the playground, warping reality and terms to just create a special club to alienate that one kid they're so envious of?

Parokki is right, they are just feeding the other consoles fanboys, pushing them to get the game. At least after looking the pictures the game look pretty much the same as previous incarnations.

"Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit is revolutionizing the series by entering the realm of next-generation gaming."

"Atari is excited and ready to offer fans the next iteration of the Dragon Ball Z video game series on the next-gen consoles,""

el even bolded it...
And Ps3 and 360 is "next gene" consoles.  It's elgefe02 who makes the claim that Wii not "next gene".

 Yes. Yes they are.

Well, here's what Atari thinks is going to save them.

http://www.mcvuk.com/news/29351/Atari-boss-reveals-turnaround-plans

The first is to spend on the Group’s major traditional properties, such as Alone in the Dark, Test Drive, or Dungeons and Dragons. Still, Alone in the Dark will be a major release. But the company’s survival does not hinge on the success of that game, although we do hope it sells millions of copies.”

The second thing is our intention to increase our investment in games aimed at the mass market made up of consumers who were introduced to gaming on the DS and Wii. And the third thing is to be present on the Internet. An Atari.com portal is soon going to be accessible, offering a series of specially developed games for playing online or downloading. We are going to enter into partnerships with specialized sites in order to expand our global reach. In keeping with the brand’s image and the market’s dynamics, Infogrames’ goal for the next three to five years is to become a well-known publisher of family games, not just a company famous among an elite gamer population.”

FishyJoe... you are faster poster than me... I just read this and was going to update the thread...
