Hmm, i always thought this game was confirmed??.

 

I thought this was great news until I read the bolded.  They did a similar thing with the original and PS3 (if memory serves) and the PS3 version sold horribly.  I can only imagine WiiU sales would be even worse in this case.

if they are only starting work when the other versions are done i doubt it can hit shelves before at least 6 months.  even then it probably won't be given a second ad campain.  all in all this will be pointed to by the industry as just another example of nintendo's inability to sell core games.

Sounds very similar to the scenario surrounding BioShock on the PS3, really.

They are going to start developement "afterward"? Well maybe it will be an enhanced edition like Bioshock for the PS3.

But, goodness, this thread pratically exploded. I this turns out true, I fear what horrors the butthurt will bring from the current gen twins section of the interwebs.

A (re)turning point.  People seem to forget the Gamecube came in between two very sparsely-third-party-populated consoles.

(I know the GC wasn't perfect, but certainly a lot of the third party games I played on PS2 were on GC as well)

I never really felt like the 3rd parties were putting the effort they could have done into the gamecube either though (not that I blame them, since the PS2 was so popular)
