Black Ops on Vita might be the finest FPS on a Portable...

343 should work on Vita and make a Halo for the Console so i could finnally play a decent FPS on a Handheld.

I mean it is no direct competition, everyone with Xbox if want a portable gaming device they dont have much to choose from and they will end on Sony machine because its the way to go for hardcore gamers.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Compare the install base of PSV and PS3. Compare the software to hardware ratio.

I aint buying that. Should have caused a bigger hardware spike or at least broke a million in retail by now. Street fighter 4 for 3DS is at 0.81 million for a launch title and that was a year old port, 2 year port for the origional SF4. Uncharted Vita was its own game, the second biggest IP next to Gran Turismo. So no, I think Uncharted Vita was overlooked and theres a good chance COD and AC will be as well. Hey, my opinion, well see how it turns out when the time comes.

I think the Vita would be even worse off if it wasn't for Uncharted at launch. It's probably over a million when you include DD, I don't know why you'd exclude it. It's sold systems, but it can only do so much for a system that's so much more expensive than it's rival and has no compelling software until september. COD and AC will probably only give it a small boost, but as the library grows and big franchises are plentiful we'll see the average figures every 2 weeks rise and it'll start getting better sales more consistently.

LOL Sony...the Vita is a beautiful piece of hardware but LOL....if you think COD and Assassins Creed are whats going to sell it you need to discontinue it right now.

They haven't announced the titles referenced in the OP/title. Or at least not all of them.

They'll be new titles at Gamescom and TGS for sure, the question is what titles. A new GTA, GT or MGS for example along with COD and AC would definitely improve Vita's situation. And any new IP has potential.

The IP's need to differ from the parent console. This is why the DS is appealing, because their games though related to the parent console are different. If they are going to use existing IP's they need to be spin offs. I want a Vita but as a potential investor I am watchful. I agree with you that we should wait though.
