What if you're just too lazy to try being a type A?

Oh yes, your personality can change, and in some cases you don't even have to try. When I was young I had a type C personality, and after lots of bad things happening now I'm type D.

I am a hybrid on the matter lols. But I don't see how people won't be able to change, even if for a short period of time. Something may happen that effects the change etc, of course as others had pointed out, you will likely still be same as you were before underneath, just on the surface you'll appear a lot more social. I put my game face on when at work or university too, whereas I am completely different when with friends or at home, or even people I am comfortable with.

All comes down to whether the person want to change or whether they are content/happy with how they are. I am more than content with mostly being type B, but I can still go out to parties etc and socialize with people, if they start talking to me, but usually just hang out with my already established friend group rather than go around pesting people. Yes I am not that drunk guy that wonders around says hi to everyone and comments on benign things such as their tattoos or the size of their ears, but if someone random talks to me I can hold my own.
