Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo explains Wii U eShop purchase options

@oniyide: Yes, actually I solely meant the Virtual Console. I should've been more spesific.

yeah, i figured as much, best thing about that service by far and even that has been getting subpar support in the past few years. at least in the US

Hopefully they go with some free titles like they are/will with the 3DS eShop!

I honestly love the gift option and hope they keep it. Surprised other companies don't follow (I could be wrong about PSN....but I remember XBL not having it.)

I agree.  If there was a gift option on Xbox or PS3, I would have actually bought some games for other gamers just so I could have someone to play them with online.  The other companies need to steal this idea and Nintendo needs to keep it.

this is wahat is good about steam.

especially in the summer sale, youcan buy a pack of 4 games and send 3 copies to friends.

I hope to see similar prices as they had with WiiWare; There are some 3DS games now that are way over priced (Zenonia). It seems to be the trend that ports from either iOS / Android are pricey.

I also hope to see UI adjustments on 3DS as well as Wii U. It does not seem to be as engaging as I wish. I suppose the change in selection every time you access it is what they may have meant to do to better balance the popular games, and those not so much.

Hey, if it's like the eShop, I'm in!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

actually that would be terrible as the pricing for those games were some of the worst on the market. Ninty for some reason would not allow price cuts or promotional pricing on games. For instance Sonic 4 epi.1 is still 15 bucks while the comp. has had its price slashed for quite some time.
