Yeah numbers are down. But sales are relatively meh until later this year when clear images of WiiU and especially next year with first real info about PS4/neXtBox appear.
Handheld wars are already over, so they are boring.
Personally, I'm more interested in seeing my predictions of the impact Google/Apple will make in the next-gen beginning in 2013.
Wii Sports again in the top 10 ??? Or this is really one of the worst weeks for videogames sales in history or this game was so revolutionary that it amazing to see it stills selling years after its launch
| Conegamer said: ^^ I think it's pretty darn close, even if you count the 3DS and the PSVita... And the PS3 is down far more than 13% the past few weeks. I believe it was outselling the figures last year early in the year even! And with the WiiU and other stuff coming out, it'll have a weaker holiday, so less sales, and no price cut or redesign can help that. The gen is over. Is it saturated. We need a new generation, and that's a fact. |

to clarify -12% is YTD down. its is currently tracking down about 20%+ |
Yes, Jay. But you look at the sales tracking tools and you can see that it's far, far more down that 12%.

Just as more evidence on how shitty this year has been. Of the twenty best selling games for the year, only five were actually released this year. That's got to be a new low record.

But... Jan down 7.8% Feb down 13.75% Mar down 2.5% Apr down 11% May down 14% June down 20% July will be down 20% plus

Presumably a good deal of those were released last qtr of last year and had massive sales over the holiday and into January? It will certainly change befote the end of the year. |
