So why are you suggesting a price cut?  It doesnt need it surely, its started really well and will be a massive success.

btw "second highest non nintendo handheld". Well played.

Nintendo dominates the handheld market, sony is the only company who came anywhere close to competing with them.  it's a fair assertion.  the top 6 selling platforms ever are the PS2, DS, PS1, Gameboy Advance, gameboy, and Wii...are you noticing a pattern here?  comparing something like the Vita to something that we know will be one of the best selling platforms ever is just silly, and is BEGGING to look bad in comparison.

50 million lifetime sales with ease, once they get their head out of their ass and market the damn thing.

I've got no horse in this race - but - one of the most awesome launch line ups ever?

That may be stretching it a bit.

http://www.metacritic.com/browse/games/release-date/available/vita/date?view=condensed

Highest rated game is 88. After 5 months. Well, 7 months really as, even though it's only one territory - Japan has the highest consumption rate of handheld systems in the world/regions.

What on earth does that have to do with the launch line-up?

Usually "launch lineup" refers to the launch window, the first 3-6 months of a system's release.

Oh, well that's what my post was about :P

To me the "launch" lineup is literally that, the games that launch with the console.  So you know, Toshinden for PS1, Luigi's Mansion for GC etc.

In that definition, to me, the Vita has had the best launch lineup ever, no contest.

I'd defend the lineup since then with you too, so you don't have to get so wound up! (Unless that part wasn't directed at me :P)

Vita wakes up when the consumer decides so. It aint happening yet.

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Even the launch lineup was pretty good if you ask me.  had Uncharted, Rayman, Little Deviants, ModNation Racers, Wipeout 2048, Lumines,  and Super Stardust Delta...all arguably decent games.  if not all, uncharted, wipeout, and Lumines all had good/great review scores, as did Mutant blobs Attack and Super Stardust Delta.  I'd say that's a very impressive launch list. sure, it's missing the system selling killer game like Gears of War or Zelda, but Uncharted was damn good and certainly qualifies as a killer app if for its pedigree alone.  (I felt it was on par with the console versions overall, lack of set pieces is made up for by added adventure elements).

Monster Hunter is a killer App, Uncharted isn't, Uncharted was exactly what people feared and that is an downgraded console experience. Vita will wake up when sony find how to attract people who would like to play downgraded console experiences.

definitely not. If you are saying this based on reviews then all I can say reviewers in general are idiots. Golden Abyss is not a downgraded experience, in fact it's a different experience altogether. It's a game that makes great use of the hardware but the overall tone has been changed. It's an adventure game more so than an action adventure game. An excellent one at that. I hope they keep the same formula for the next one. In fact Naughty Dog could learn a few things to improve the console games thanks to Golden Abyss.

And vita have plenty of games that are ideal for handhelds. Including new Ips and exclusives.

I'm a reviewer myself and I tend to agree...most of us are idiots, ESPECIALLY when it comes to handheld titles.  I dont know why these games get such bad reviews compared to their console counterparts.  I'd argue golden Abyss was superior to the first game but not quite up to par with the second and third...and the only reason it's a 'lesser' game than 2 and 3 is becuase of the lack of multiplayer, which is an objective analysis, not a personal one.

I agree, Golden abyss was different, but it was by no means worse; by focusing more on adventure and exploration and collecting in lieu of action set pieces, the game remained a GAME rather than an interactive movie.

If that is all what you can come up with, well then the situation of the Vita must be really sad.

If almost every agree with=>

Resistance on consoles >>>>>> PSP/VITA
Uncharted on conosoles >>>>>> VITA
God of war on Consoles>>>>>>>>VITA
Etc....                  =   The handheld games are an downgraded console experience.
