Forums - Sony - My most upsetting ending!!!!!!!

Of all the books, movies and games ive seen, HEAVY Rain is the most upsetting ending i've ever been through

SPOILERS************

i understand there's multiple endings, but its so upsetting that i no longer want to play this game. With that said, its a masterful game, easily a top 10 Ps3 game. But in my ending not only did lauren die, but at the very end Madison dies to that punk shelby on the last scene AND he never gets caught...this right after i franctically scrambled to escape the buring apartment with madison, which i litterally did with only seconds to spare...

Again, beautiful game, great story and very intense action moments. I will say this though, the move controlls were annoying and engaging at the same time. Maybe if the game was designed for it from the ground up it would have been better, but i just didn't feel as engaged with the dual shock,

Upsetting, well to me that means something a bit different than you guys I think.

For me, it's Final Fantasy X, where Tidus walks off and reveals he is a dream to Yuna. That whole thing was a bomb shell, that gaming really hasn't seen before, or after. I think still to this day, that is the best story. Might not like Japanese dialogue but you can't deny that they wrote one hell of a story.

Vanquish I hated this ending, because of the dumbest ending ever this game will stay incomplete forever.
and ME3 of course but at least they fixed it.

I wish I could say Conker's Bad Fur Day, but the ending didn't end up as it was supposed to.

The creators initially wanted Conker to become so depressed that he shot himself in the end, but since that would rule out any potential sequel they had to let him live, and walk home safely.

Ironic, isn't it?

Snake's Revenge for the Nes bothered me. It was the unofficial sequel to Metal Gear. When the game started, you had three teammates, Jennifer, J.T., and Nick. When the game was over, Nick was dead, J.T. was taken prisoner and never rescued, and Jennifer just went into hiding. I was just a little kid. Nobody EVER died in video games--at least not the games I played. That one bothered me for a long time after I played the game.

I was haunted by Final Fantasy VII, too. After all the team went through, it seemed like everybody died at the end. Yeah, they showed Red XIII at the end running with his kids but that didn't explain dick to me. As far as I knew, the world ended and lions ruled the earth.

Worst ending for me, would have to be demons souls, they just shouldn't have bothered attempting a story in that game.

Most emotive (good but sad) ending would be FFX or XIII (FF type 0 is pretty well done and grim to, as is Ff tactics war of the lions for the double murder on the bday), with honourable mention going to shadow of the colossus & soul reaver defiance

You know, the series gets a bad rap for its story but I actually LOVE the story and characters in the Gears of War series. The ending was somewhat satisfying but when I thought of all of the sacrifices it took to get to that point, I have to say it kinda bothered me a little bit.

I think it speaks volume when you find yourself attached ( but not in a overly obsessive i cant continue my life sort of way) to the story of a character to the point that it is frustrating when they die or something. whether its a game, book or movie.
Good stuff.
Still mad at Heavy Rain
