NPD showed PS3 is selling slightly better than 3DS in US.

3DS soon to be behind PS3 everywhere but Japan. Handhelds would be dead if Nintendo didn't manage to pull yet more Mario games.

ps3 cant even break 200k in US. sony should just cut another $50 off and get it down to $199 sooner rather than later.

Mario Tennis showed they can't rely on that name to sell in the west anymore either. Hopefully it pushes them to put out straight up better games. 

Yeah, they need to. The iPad alone is outselling the 3DS some 10:1, and even taking into account differences in game pricing and usage it's easy to see how the iOS is a tempting platform to developers, specially small, casual-focused ones. If Nintendo doesn't manage to make the 3DS better in some aspects it is going to... well, not be a failure in terms of profit and sales, but easily eclipsed like the Gamecube was.

The Vita is going the same way, but at least is probably going to inherit all the median, core developers who create good and fresh, although not spetacular gaming, and are now developing for the PSP and developed for the PS2 on it's later years before that.

um since when did a mario tennis title ever sell well?

and no haxxiy it is nothing like the gamecube, considering its about to pass it in only a year and half of sales. quit being pessimistic

I'm pretty sure VGC was showing 3DS selling less a couple of weeks ago in America but I don't know what happened to make it do this.
