Console Gaming! I was wondering how you guys feel about this. Lets Say you owned PS2,Gamecube, and Xbox last gen. Then you owned Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. this one. Is there so many games to play between these 3 platforms (considering you like all types of genres) that you would not be able to play all of them making the purchase of a handheld unnecessary?

I would like to think it would be nice to have every handheld game on a console as well, imagine how many more games you could play.

Using that logic, handhelds could kill consoles.

Sure, if every game was on each others system which would you buy, a handheld or a console?

No, console games don't stop me from playing handheld games. There are fewer handheld games that I'm interested in, but the ones I am get played just as much, if not more than those I'm interested on console as it's more convenient for me to pull out my PSP and play.

Consoles?!? But we've been told smartphones are the true killers.

I personally prefer handheld, although I do play on consoles as well. There's something about playing on a console that just seems unintuitive to me. I can't really explain it. Just my opinion though.

What I am trying to figure out if there is people out there that refuse to buy handhelds because they game to much on there console. Even vice versa people who dont play consoles because of handheld games.

I find myself at a 70% console love, 30% handheld.

Some people who travel a lot prefer a handheld experience, either being 3DS or Vita, sure a lot of people (myself included) prefer to have games on a console, but that doesn't keep them for buying the handheld games they enjoy playing. I pretty sure most people play their 3DS and Vita's at home. 

It is all a conspiracy to hide the the truth that consoles have been commiting gaming canabalism on their little brothers and sisters.
