Forums - Gaming - Activision Leeds to develop Call of Duty handheld games - report

OK, so let's see...

Infinity Ward, Treyarch, Activision Leeds, Sledgehammer Games, plus Raven Software, Neversoft, n-Space, and Beachhead Studios... is it just me, or is Activision putting a hell of a lot of their eggs into one basket?

I remember reading somewhere that Kotick said that they won't put money into a franchise unless they can exploit it over the next decade. This is where the exploiting begins (well it began in 2007, but you get the idea).

About n-Space, I doubt Activision goes to them and tasks them with COD games. They probably choose to make them for themselves. They have made DS ports of a lot of popular games recently.

Well, I'm not sure if nostalgia is just messing with me or the Call of Duty versions for the DS was actually pretty good. For me to buy this they will need lots of content, like 16 player online. I doubt it will happen though, given how Nintendo struggled to make Mario Kart 7 eight player online compatible.

I think your memory is failing you, but i always thought those games were terrible. But i do wonder what this means for the team that was working on CODs for DS. Are they getting kicked to the curb

I doubt N-Space got kicked to the curb. We don't typically hear about the DS (and presumably 3DS) versions of COD until about a month before they launch. If we never hear about it, the fact that they're working on Heroes of Ruin may be an explaination.

It's what inspired this lol.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

Thanks for clearing that up, and i didnt know they were working on Heroes of Ruin. BUT i was really referring to the statement that said that Activision Leeds would work on ALL portable CODs, so i was wondering what became of N-space, now i know.

If they're not then who is?

I can see CoD on the Vita. I can't see it on the 3DS.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

I don't know, it just never worked for me on the DS. I don't see how it would be any better on the 3DS. But if it does come out on 3DS, I might give it a try, see what it's like.
