Call of dutty and assasin creed will sold and will sell more consoles then any new IP in psvita just like in psp.

That made me laugh at a high octave.

Call of Duty thrives on online interaction. Which Vita game is pushing that forward as we speak? Nothing. And you expect this 3rd party game to start the trend? Look at what happened to Resistance.... Shoot, Activision themselves do not even know which team is making this COD game for the Vita. You cannot be serious! lol

This has all been discussed before:

CoD was small back then (or much smaller at least). Now it's the biggest franchise in gaming and that is a big deal.

What gameplay did you see from AC?

Uhm, which 3rd party game pushed online interaction forward this generation again. Right, it was CoD. Resistance 1 didn't push it, Resistance 2 didn't push it so it is inevitable that Vita Resistance wouldn't push it. Of course Activision know who is making it, now you're just being silly for the sake of it.

http://www.thesixthaxis.com/2012/06/25/treyarch-dont-know-who-is-making-black-ops-vita/

"You would think that Call of Duty regulars Treyarch would have some hand in the PlayStation Vita version of Black Ops – currently named Declassified – but apparently not.

Videogamer asked Treyarch’s Director of Communications John Rafacz which team was working on the game and his response was a plain and simple ‘I don’t know’."

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

We can see that CoD can do well on handhelds, especially powerful sony ones. But that was before people realized that they do not want to play a online death match on their mini handheld. We will see.

I can't see CoD doing well on a HandHeld anymore, at least not in comparison to the Home Console Versions. A lot of people who play CoD are Casual Gamers if they like it or not. That means they probably won't justify buying a Vita for CoD since they have an iPod Touch or a Smartphone to play portable games on.

Vita is the first handheld to include proper FPS controls and has a better online infrastructure than the PSP or the DS. People game online on their iPhones or iPads all the time.

That's just it; they have their iPhones and iPads.

No, Gravity Rush just doesn't seem like a game Americans would play. It's too good.

Also, that lasy part is a lie. xD You are part of a Gaming Forum, that's why you know all this.

The game who will make people buy the psvita is the games that peoples in gaming forum say it should not be inhandheld console like Assasin Creed and Call of Dutty.

I don't think so. I don't see why people would buy a COD title on a new handheld when there's the quality and established community on the HD consoles. Same with Assassin's Creed, though to a lesser extent.

There's an established mario community on Wii, does that stop the 3DS version from selling or pushing consoles? It is a different game, not the same as the HD versions.

Oh, stop being silly. You know it's not the same

For one, Mario games don't release at the same time. For two, Mario games are tested to sell well on any platform; not so for COD and Assassin's Creed here. For three, each new Mario game is heavily advertised, whereas the Vita version will be left in the dark likely.

Need I go on?

Anyone ( I am sure some one does) know if the Vita will be able to be interchangable with online? I am saying battle people who are playing CoD on their PS3. That would be a sell for me if that was somehow implemented.

I'm not sure if it would be able to handle the connection to a PS3? I know they have some type of connection between Vita and PS3 but not online.

You don't even have a PS3.

But with this whole COD on Vita scenario, it's something we'll have to see closer to the time. Personally, I don't see it selling more than a million in its first year, or 1.5mil LT. Do people REALLY want to move from their home console version to an inferior, untested, smaller community Vita version? I don't see it.

Vita has no true system seller until at least 2013; Call of Duty and Assassins Creed were not the answer, and if they want to regain market foothold, it needed to be this year....Last year at least the 3DS had 2 Marios and a Monster Hunter to keep it up worldwide.

Yeah, it will be interesting to see just how far down PS3 and X360 sales will have dropped by this time next year. Just coming out of E3 2013 and the new consoles being extensively shown I can't imagine many people picking up a PS360 during that summer.

About the Vita and COD and AC3, why do you say these games are "not the answer"? Isnt AC3 coming this Fall to Vita?

I'll pose you this question:

Assuming you owned a Vita and a PS3, would you buy AC3 in October on Vita, or wait 4 weeks and buy the console version on your PS3? Same thing for Call of Duty.

These 2 IPs create most of their appeal on a larger console experience. It is not like GTA Stories, the lone exception to the rule (crime on the go!) Some things just cannot work as handheld experience and vice versa.

Also, are these games really going to SELL SYSTEMS? What makes them so good that I have to buy a Vita to play it? How can I not find the same experience anywhere else?

Assasins creed 3 and black ops 2 aren't coming out on the vita! They are 2 new games, that won't be available on any other consoles. Black ops declassified and Assasins creed liberation. there's many fans of each franchise so why wouldn't they want to buy these games?  A portable call of duty has many things going for it. Zombies on the go? Multiplayer on the go? Cross play? Remote play? This has never happened before and could be huge if done right. Same applies to Assasins creed. It's a unique game so why wouldn't people want to buy a vita to play it? Gta vice and liberty city stories were spin offs which sold very well so why couldn't it work for Assasins creed?

If I'm in the store looking at these games, I'm looking at the 'name change' and saying what is the difference really?

The GTA games were made by Rockstar; the quality is not the same in comparison. Also, the GTA series  was in general is WAY bigger in popularity back then then AC 3...or pardon me, Liberation is now.

Face facts, it IS NOT THE SAME!!!

LOL

Well you're first point is what YOU would say. Call of duty has millions of followers and some of those fans would buy the game knowing it is a new experience, a new game and on a new console. And by the way, call of duty is bigger than gran theft auto now. Regarding assassins creed you have no idea of the quality of the game. Ubisoft are great developers so it is highly likely the game will be a high standard, as all Assasins creed games are. I don't need to face any facts. You're a bit confused here it seems..

Their Console or their iPhone/Android Phone. People who play CoD (well most people anyway.) could probably care less.

Confused? How can I make myself any more clear...

Call of Duty & Assassins Creed Vita WILL NOT

SELL SYSTEMS

FOR AN EXTENDED...PERIOD...OF TIME.

Gravity Rush was able to sell a few thousand Vitas by selling like 150k...but that was VERY short-lived. The 2 games in tandem will manage a bit more, but nowhere near enough to offset the true difficulties the Vita is going through and WILL go through later.

Numbers do not lie.. how many millions do you think, COD&AC can sell on Vita combined? I just want to know.

5 million

3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more.

Ac on psp sold 1.5 million copies + psn sales. And was terrible. This will be a true AC on the go, seperate from 3. If even a third of the people who buy 3 buy liberation, thats 3 million copies right there. Very doable over time.

COD, assuming its done correctly, will be huge. Ad- hoc zombies wherever you go. Potential for mario kart level hook. And to break 5 million copies on cod only a 1/5 of the people who play the console versions need to buy declassified. 3 million will be easy over time, and with large increases in hardware.
