That stuff from past thread was one of the of the lamest posts I've seen on this forum and I am reminded of it everytime I see your avatar, so yeah, you're stuck between my buttcheeks.

And seeing as how the console that launches first has a big advantage and we know next to nothing about Sony and MS' consoles , get ready to most likely lose that bet.

Good bet, you seem confident. I say the WiiU will whipe the floor with the Playstation 4. How does that appeal to you? Microsoft will tout its smart glass to the industry, and what will Sony have to show? Nothing. Either exactly what WiiU has, or something better at 3 times the price. Streaming? Yeah, dey'll have it. But it won't sell consoles! Games sell consoles, and as awesome as some of Sony's IPs are, they don't sell consoles. Even Microsoft beat them and they have nothing in comparison to Sony.

Another bad comparison, look at Sega's situation before and during DC's fall to its' doom then you'll see Nintendo isn't even close to having the financial problems they had.

He doesn't care about that. All he wants to do is liken the next Nintendo system to the Dreamcast because ultimately it led to the fall of SEGA.

In other words, he's saying it because he hates Nintendo, pure and simple, and there's no amount of logic that's going to stop him from saying it, even if it's trash.

That's possible. If Sony didn't learn their lesson with their previous price point they'll end up the same way. What will Sony have is the same thing they have right now that makes them the best selling console worldwide these days. Smart glass won't do anything at all, it is an interesting concept that won't have a groundbreaking implementation from the start, maybe in the future.

What you dude are not considering and Nintendo for that matter is how many of those fans that bought the Wii will do the same with the WiiU. Those fans that nowadays think that WiiU is an add-on of the Wii, those fans that are not part of the core of Nintendo fans, those fans that possibly will look at the WiiU and not be interested. Nintendo still doesn't know how many of those that bought the Wii will again go an buy their next console, but they still think their next console will have the same support and from there I draw comparisons between PS2 and PS3. Nintendo nowadays is at the same spot that was Sony previously, taking bets and acting as if reaching the #1 spot assures they will be there eternally.

You know what also helps selling platforms? Multiplatform games and what is the certainty that Nintendo has of having parity with the other onsoles in ports of multiplats for the next gen? Read another thread in here.

You guys are accusing me of hating on Nintendo, because I am a Sony fanboy? I can tell you that Sony can screw up big time next gen if they don't do things right , don't have luck (that's part of the ecuation, always, fortune) and people don't support them. Can you tell me that it is possible that Nintendo can end up the same?

That movie clip was awesome and I have not went far enough to know if he gave you a answer. I agree the reception Of the wii was the same. I will be buying a wii U off the bat. I had a much grimmer view (no pun intended) of the WiiU back when I didn't understand the potential.

Yes, I do see the risk of Wii consumers dropping its successor. But what I have seen also is Nintendo's continued dominance in the handheld space. If they managed to do that with the DS, I believe that same success can and will be translated and is in the process of being translated to Nintendo's home console market.

In other words, even if those who purchased the Wii don't buy the U again for the reasons they bought the Wii, I believe consumers that bought the DS and now the 3DS are those that will also buy the WiiU. Since the 3DS is doing fine without multiplat titles, I believe now that Nintendo has cemented its leadership for 1 gen in the home console market, that partner (3rd party) confidence is now at an all-time high for Nintendo, ensuring a self-sufficient, Nintendo-only software submarket on Nintendo's home system, supported by Nintendo's 1st party games and exclusive 3rd party Nintendo-only experiences.

And even then, there is a possibility of the current Wii clientele wanting the successor to the Wii and the experiences it brought. Here is the poll data:

That's how I see it unfolding, and as such, I see the PS4 selling as much as this gen, and the WiiU outselling the Wii. Just my vision.

As such, I'd be willing to be it'll sell 120M lifetime minimum.
