Dead Space for me was a game that I played in bits. (I'm a complete and utter wuss). But once I got a hang of it (got used to spooky parts), it became one of my favorite games in this generation. And game+ is a breeze :)

Dead Space 2 on other hand is currently pissing me off with hardcore mode :(

I've finally started playing it, too. Just started the second level.

And... do you think it is scary at all so far?

It's fucking terrifying.  I'm kinda getting used to its style, though.  It kinda needs to pace itself.  If it gave me some quiet moments, the scary moments would be that much more scarrier.  I'm having a blast with it, though.  It's kinda like the Metroid game I needed Other M to be (the atmosphere, at least.  Other M's gameplay was just fine.).  I can't wait until I finish it so I can get started on Dead Space 2, though.  That game started off epic but I didn't want to play it without finishing the first one.

Finished the first and it was awesome, but for some of the reasons mentioned in this thread (including stress) I only played half of Dead Space 2. Not sure if I will ever finish it. Still a great game.

Oh and I love the intro of the first Dead Space. Perfectly setting the mood for the whole game.

Well they might make a Metroid game for Wii U and it could be just as great (- some of the gore)  as Dead Space!

hmmm reading through this thread makes me want to play it again, I'm only 3 or 4 trophies away from platinum, might as well try to get it.

*buys shitty Spider-Man game*
*puts awesome Dead Space game on hold*

You should try Amnesia: The Dark Descent. It will make you feel warm and fuzzy on the inside...

Yeah right.

lol

I was like you several years before, I just had to play all the horror games and little by little the fear dissappear :P
I remember playing Silent Hill 1 on PSX, I literally couldn't sleep for two days :/

Anyway, I'm playing Dead Space right now, the game is excellent I felt fear in a game after a long long time (Altough I never tried Amnesia) and while sometimes it's predictable, the game it's pure fun.
I recommend to man up, and play it with a buddy or someone so you feel more safe.

Well that's a pretty stupid comment, no offence.

What is that supposed to mean?
