Listen up you three... cause what Im saying is important for you to hear. Some of what I say may hurt because you're all used to getting it your way, but just know I'm only saying these things because I love you all.
Stop being stupid: bring me Goldeneye and the original Perfect Dark. Now, I all still think you have very bright futures ahead of you, but when you show me this: http://kotaku.com/342745/rumor-goldeneye-007-perfect-dark-coming-to-xbla , only to tell me this days later: http://kotaku.com/344084/xbla-goldeneye-was-real-nearly-done-now-dead , I start to lose faith.
Just think about what you are working with here. Goldeneye is a 13 year old game. This important for a couple of reasons; first, its not like your fighting for some powerful new IP like Assasin's Creed or Little Big Planet, its a N64 game from 2 generations ago, so please, please stop getting so testy about it. Second, and more importantly, you have got to realize how lucrative making this deal would be. I mean, porting this to XBLA cant be really that expenisve, and the thing is bound to sell millions. Your profit margin is through the roof for cryin out loud. If you could just settle on a deal to split the monies (which will be ample), all three of you win, and I win cause I can go on an Boris "I am Invincible!" rampage playing on License to Kill mode. Every. Body. Wins.
Now, I know what you're saying, Microsoft: http://kotaku.com/344324/goldeneye-xbla-shitcanning-was-nintendos-fault , and I see your point; Nintendo needs to calm down and start happily rolling around in their excess cash. But honestly, you're not that much better, and I highly suspect you were part of the cancelation of this project: http://blogs.ign.com/Matt-IGN/2007/10/02/67886/ , despite the fact that you're not in the handheld market and this could in NO way hurt you whatsoever. I will tolerate no more fingerpointing from either of you, anyway.
Basically what it comes down to is this: you two both say that you are part of different market shares and after different demographics, so start acting like it.
Microsoft, when and if the Wii becomes the new console standard for FPS, then I'll allow you to bitch a bit more (if you admit you're jealous), but that definitely ain't happened yet so shut it. You've got much more tangible competition from that market coming from the PS3 that you should be focusing on anyway--Killzone and Resistance sequels, anyone?
Nintendo, more money is more money, you're simply retahded if you don't take this deal.
And as for you, Rare, don't make lame news about the rehashing of old games for profit. Instead all I ask from you is to please return to form. The days of Donkey Kong Country, and Banjo Kazooie and other classic works you contributed to seem far too removed to still be talking about. Lets see some new good stuff.
All of you do as I say right now or I swear I will turn this car around. I might even go back to play my Playstation 2 if you're not careful.
