Forums - Gaming - I am going to make a BOLD prediction for call of duty's release

Since seeing the pre-order charts for the past 2 weeks I have noticed Blacks Ops 2 preorders are less than MW3. I am assuming that this is because of declining interest in the franchise (something activision has a knack for doing). Also Halo 4 is releasing a week before BO2 on Xbox.

My predictions:

Halo 4 will make a significant impact on the BO2 launch for Xbox, so much that the ps3 version will sell more for the first time this generation. And on the whole the launch will not be as strong as MW3 on both console

Agree? Disagree? Hate cod? Hate Activision?

Wanna bet?

The 360 version still has a pretty strong lead when it come to pre-orders in the US if not everyone buys it at launch because of Halo 4 it will just mean that it will have stronger legs on the 360.

Didnt COD kick the last Halo's ass??

black ops sold 4 million more than Halo Reach, however, halo was released about 2 months before black ops. Halo 4 is being released a week before BO2, that is why i think it will slow cod sales

My prediction: Preorders are lower for Xbox 360 and PS3 versions because a lot of people are waiting to see what the Wii U version looks/plays like before making a decision. Note that, because it hasn't yet been officially announced (although it has been unofficially confirmed), retailers haven't yet opened it up for preorders, so there's no way to see preorder interest for the Wii U version.

EDIT: Before someone ignorant comes in and calls me names, or anything... I'll point out that I didn't say the Wii U version would sell better. I said people are waiting to see the Wii U version before making their decision on which version they want.

I dont think preorders really matter at all. Most big games have enough supply on release for everyone to buy one. I also don't think Halo 4 will impact CoD too much. There are those who will buy both, and the ones who like halo or CoD only have made up their minds by now and would of been reflected in the last release.

I think CoD is gonna be very successful no matter what happens. I see that happening for at least 2 or 3 more CoD games. Mabye even 4.

Me prediction is that your prediction is wrong.

People will always be interested in CoD, it's the sad truth.

Have you played MW3? The Wii doesn't count lol.
